Disneyland Swap *RIDES* ~ Active but *closed*

This is a Disneyland swap with a "RIDES/ATTRACTIONS" theme.

There are 10 participants in this swap. You will need to make 10 sets of each of your elements (remember that some elements consist of multiple pieces, so you need to make that many times 10)

When you are done, separate your elements into 10 baggies. You can put your A & B pieces in the same baggie as everyone is in both groups. Please make sure to include your name/screenname so we know whose work to admire!

Put the entire batch into a larger baggie (rain protection) and send it to me (I will be PMing you my address) using whichever method you prefer, but please ensure that I will receive it by October 1st. Please enclose a flat rate ($3.85) stamp or cash (no checks/mo's if at all possible, please). No need to send me an envelope -- I'll get those from the P.O. but please make to enclose your mailing address!

Swap due date is October 1st! I will wait one week for mail delays and then swap whatever I have, as I don't want to keep everyone waiting.

I have a question... I've got a GREAT poem thingy for Small World, but someone already took Small World... are you allowing duplications at all? I'm NOT quite following how you're organizing this swap, but I'd love to join in. I could also do deco squares for Pirates, or photomats, or journal box... Otherwise, I could do embellishments for just about any ride, so I'd be willing to let you pick the ride...

So if you have a spot open in the end (i just got my sizzix slide mount die cut . . . HINT HINT) I may join just to fill the spot for ya!!! MAN I HAVE A SWAP OBSESSION ISSUE!!!

Hi and welcome to the DisBoards! It is first come first served on the swaps pretty much, as far as I know (unless someone else wants to clue me in on the etiquette). However, TPCShauna is going to be starting an "ABC of Disney" swap on August 15th and your idea would probably work real well with "I"!

As far as this swap, you pick one element from group A and one from group B, and design them to go with your theme (in this swap, the theme is Disneyland rides/attractions). You have to select elements and theme that are not already spoken for. So if you are interested in any of the remaining elements, post your choices and the ride/attraction (not already taken).

Clear as mud? Hope you will join in -- the swaps are great fun here!

Yep, just up the road! I go to Stamper's Corner more than Scrapbook Addict. I tend to buy alot of what I need online, especially this summer with my 2 kids in tow, it has been hard to shop! I also like the Joann's superstore. I can usually find the basics that I need on short notice.

I have not been to the stores in Lodi -- not sure about a 3rd one there, though I know people do travel far to get to those 2. Have you looked in Elk Grove? I know that we need one on the Laguna side, though the rents are higher. But we are busting at the seams here and there are plenty of scrappers in town! In fact, there was a store that closed over here by my Bel-Air and I thought it would be a great location for a scrapbook store. Feel free to PM me if you want my thoughts on locations, etc. I also know that one of the other stores in Elk Grove was up for sale a couple months ago. Not sure it was made public knowledge but my friend was offered it -- she turned it down because she is pregnant and doesn't need to be dealing with retail right now, lol.

Anyway, glad to have you here and I'm looking forward to your work!

Yea, I like Stamper's Corner better too... more stuff, better stuff.

I don't know what my DH would say about going to Elk Grove... it's not that it's so far from Galt, but our current business office is in Lodi, and I suspect he wants to be able to "pop in" on me, and there's plenty of retail space avail in Lodi...

I'll have to talk to him about it... the financials are definitely going to need to be considered, and one of the buildings we're looking at could be purchased rather than rented, and that's a pretty good deal.

I think you'll find my work satisfactory... I hate getting sloppy work (I call it junk) so I try very, VERY hard not to GIVE junk! I try to only take on swaps where I have a CLUE as to what I can do for it.

If you want It's a Small World, and if it's not too late to change, I would love to do Sleeping Beauty Castle, keeping my tags and photo mats. I didn't know it was an option to do the castle since it really isn't a "ride." But it would have been my first choice. So if we are allowed then you can take Small World and share the fabulous Poem "thingy".

LOL, it really IS neat... it's a part of the song on vellum, overlaying a copy of a postcard, connected with sun eyelets. It's really neat, a scraplift from another swap. But I think someone else has Sleeping Beauty Castle, and I know I'll be able to do Goofy, so it'll be fine. Next swap, perhaps!
