Disneyland Summer promotions

Usually end of March or Mid April. Seems like a long ways away doesn't it?

I wonder if there will be good deals this year? Everyone keeps saying the economy is getting better....but I don't know if it really is....

:confused3

just wondering....

Good question. The WDW promotions aren't exactly for summer. They don't apply for half of June, all of July and half of August. So not when I conviniently plan to go.

DLR deals are most likely for extended stays or tickets. I expect something along this lines as DL has always wanted people to come for more than a weekend.

I also wonder with all of the new additions this summer if they will need promotions at all. They are opening 4 major projects here. I have a feeling that they will sell themselves just through local advertising and then word of mouth. However we may see some promo??? My guess is that this year it may be small though.

Do they ever offer discounts in May?

WDW being more of a long vacation destination, they're always needing to have promotions to increase park attendance. DL, not so much due to all of the vacationers plus the AP holders. I do hope they have it again, but it seems pretty popular to have the 5 for 3 deal.

Guess who's thinking of going in May!! :cool1:

Hush your mouth! Really? We're looking at going in May, but not sure exactly which days. I want Little Mermaid, Goofy's Sky School, Paradies Garden and Star Tours to be open, but it's hit or miss. The sites all just say "opening in spring of 2011", which doesn't mean much. We know how things get delayed. Would be so cool if we could meet there at the same time.

I am crossing all fingers and toes for that 5 for 3 promotion!

I am wondering when the typical "usual" start date is for that?

I'm looking at early May (8th-13th) It depends on my daughter's college class schedule.

I just saw a commercial about two days for $99. Wasn't paying too much attention (surprisingly), so I didn't get all the details, but it's airing in SoCal now, so it should be showing up on Disney's websites soon, if not already. The ad said it was good starting yesterday.

I think that is the Socal two day pass for $99. Did they do a SoCal 3 day pass last summer?

I still want the twofer. I'm spoiled. Of course I have a pass so it doesn't really matter.

Well, it wasn't a summer promotion but I got a decent deal on the DLR website for tickets for the family members we are buying tickets for for our visit in 2 weeks (!) that is good until mid April and they also have on the site an extra night free when you stay 3 for the same time period.

The "summer promotions" usually run from May to September. The last 2 years it was the 5 for 3 deal.

I will be happy if they do that again.

Me too! lol I want to go so bad...I am so trying to figure out how to make it happen. lol

so if they have 5 for 3 . do they ever do anything for those that have AP's

We had AP's for 2 years, the first year we had the Deluxe AP, the second we had the Premium AP, we were given no additional specials. Just the ones you normally get with the AP's.

Those deals are normally for So Cal residents only.
