Disneyland Rose

Does anyone in this forum have a Disneyland Rose. I am interested in getting one and was wondering how well they may do in the Chicago area. If you have one please let me know how hardy it is and how frequently it blooms and please post a pic if you have one. Thanks

I had one...I've successfully killed it. It was pretty while it lasted though. I don't know how well it will do in Chicago. It didn't like my yard in Seattle.

Thanks for the pic. I was recently in DL and no one was able to tell me where they had any. Guess you have to know who to ask.
Hopefully they will like Chicago. I think I will go ahead and get one for next year.

I have a DL pic in my sig This year was very good for my DL rose #2. It's till blooming heavily. I lost DL#1 to possible lack of water or poor soil. It was located at the end of a row of roses and the soil in that spot was not the greatest. DL#2 was planted in the veg garden in rich soil with good drainage. If it's in a protected area or you can provide protection over the winter you shouldn't have a problem. I think you should give it a try. It's well worth it

We had one and it died in the course of a move.

Mine have come from J&P also. I've never seen them anywhere else.
I have a DL rose on order now that will be shipped next March when it's time to plant in my zone.

Deb- you roses are BEAUTIFUL!!!! I can't wait until mine look like that. This is the first year with the Disneyland rose. But now that I have seen yours, I think I will have to get more for next year!

Oh no, another F&G Bud hooked on the DL rose Once you get the bug you can't grow just one Mine is still going strong. I think it's in it's 4th flush at least.

Yours looks very healthy too.How many times did it bloom so far this summer?
