Wowsa! Great information here!
One suggestion is to mention the Paradise Pier Hotel is actually a shorter walk and more convenient to the parks than the DL Hotel. Going back to the PP from the parks you can bypass all or much of DTD by using the California Adventures exit or DTD exit (next to Sephora, I think) into the Grand Cal's lobby, then exit through the Grand's entrance. Left turn and then a very short walk to PP entrance.
Are they still allowing non-GCH guests to use that entrance into the GCH?

Yes, no issues you can go in the main entrance as a non-GCH guest.
Although if you're talking about the direct DCA enterance, you HAVE to be a GCH guess to use it or have a reservation for one of their restaurants.
As the pp said, this is true as long as you have a confirmed dining reservation at the GCH. CMs will ask to see your email confirmation or the confirmation on your app.Yes, no issues you can go in the main entrance as a non-GCH guest...
Do you do a lot of dining in the parks? The one thing I have tried to research but have not found is which restaurants only take orders through mobile ordering currently. I read a lot of reviews about how long you have to wait and I’m thinking that I prefer to avoid using mobile ordering, but don’t want to waste my time in a line thinking I can order on the spot only to be turned away.
Excellent advice! This is what I will do. Thanks! So it's really a wait and see. Remember, your credit card does not get charged till you click on the "I'm Here" button for the pickup of the food. So if you see the Stand-by wait is shorter, feel free to cancel the Mobile Order and go with Stand-by.
Sometimes, you have to factor when you're reading or hearing information.
Few months ago, Mobile Orders were really bad and you had hours long waits after you click on "I'm Here" button to pick up the order. Although in recent weeks/months, doing Mobile Ordering has gotten better.
When I was there 2 weeks ago, I did mobile ordering for Hungry Bear, Mint Julep Bar and Pym's Test Kitchen early on the morning. Just so that we could secure the time slots we wanted for our meals. Those Mobile Orders worked great and either my food was immediately ready for pickup or I only waited less than 5 minutes.
Then at Docking Bay 7, I was going to do a Mobile Order for their Cold Brew Coffee but I saw the Mobile order area had about 15 people waiting for pickups. Then when I went to check on the Stand-by line, there was only one person there. So I figured I'd be faster to do Stand-by.

Being a golden oldie I would so appreciate any help I can get on mobile ordering, thanks!!I will write up a detailed Mobile Order and Sit Down Restaurant reservations process in my next update.
