Disneyland Resort Paris - some pics from my recent trip

Oh you guys! Paris is a wonderful city! I was an exchange student in France in high school and DH and I went back a few years ago. There are so many wonderful things to photograph. All my Paris photos are film and none of them scanned in the computer or I would show you how beautiful the city is. That is one city where I can just walk the streets for days and soak up the atmosphere.

Too right. Paris is beautiful. We always make the effort to spend a day of our DL Paris trip visiting something in Paris or its surround. This trip we went to Versailles and that is just gorgeous.

Our trip last October we went to see the veritable historic sight of the Stade de France (the Fench national Rugby/Soccer stadium) - ok not so historic but we did have tickets for the semi finals of the Rugby World Cup.

I was using my 10-17 fisheye lens. I had it in shutter priority and picked about 1/2 second shutter speed (ISO was 200). I was lucky because it was a dull day so didn't need to try and use ND filters. it's still a little overexposed imho but i was just playing around and it came out ok.
You couldn't use an ND filter on that lens anyway...

I will probably make it out to DLP some day, but Paris itself just holds no appeal to me. (You're talking to a person who went to Romania for his honeymoon, and there's no ancestry there or anything like that - I just wanted to go somewhere unusual.) I do want to make it out to Tokyo some day, I am very anxious to check out Tokyo DisneySea and the city itself interests me too. :)

Tokyo is high on my list too. Though i suspect i'll make it to Hong Kong first. Another city which interests me and "happens" to have a Disney park.

We may be going back to Paris next year. Possibly Christmas since thats the only time we can all go. Our Skymiles expire in '09 so we have to use them. We only spent a few days there in '05 and can't wait to be able to see the rest of the city:yay: Both my DD's are taking French in school(one high school, the other college) so they can use what they are learning:)
I want to go out to Versailles and Giverny(I love Monet- tho I don't know how the water lillies will look in Dec) while there. Paris is where my college age DD wants to do a study abroad so we may get another excuse to go in a few years;) They were 11 and 15 the first time in Paris and they both loved it. DD who was 11 at the time LOVED the Louvre. We all loved DLP- we even dragged my parents there- they enjoyed it:) Hopefully we will be able to go back and go to the Studios.

If you like Monet, Musee D'Orsey is a must!

We were there end of September/beginning of October. Was low crowds as midweek, plus took most of my photos during Early Magic Hours whihc really helps there be v few people in the park.

Enjoy your trip when you get there in 2010
