Disneyland Resort discounts for an average person?

Hi Everyone! I'm a Canadain, so I don't get to take advantage of AP discounts or locals discounts or Military Discounts… I do have BCAA which is the same as your AAA, so I do get those discounts, but I was wondering if the Disneyland Hotels (like Paradise Pier) ever just have random discounts? How would I find out about these? Do I have to sign up for something? I really, really, really, really want to stay on site this time around, and PP is about all I can afford. On the website it says that the price is $250/night, but when I put in my dates it NEVER is that cheap lol! I was hoping to be able to catch a sale or something at some point, so I was wondering how I could keep tabs on that… does anyone know?

Thanks so much!

They stopped offering AAA discounts over a year ago. If you can get a Disney Visa then they sometimes have discounts, though they're often not exclusive, you just get a chance to book them first. There haven't been many discounts this year, even for APs. And they're only displaying them 30-60 days in advance. Probably your best best for any discount if one is available is booking through Orbitz or by participating in an event like D23 or a runDisney race. But generally the hotels are full without offering substantial discounts, so if the cheapest rooms are already not available then the price isn't going to drop to 10% off the cheapest room rate if or when a discount is offered.

Orbitz has a 15% discount going on right now that applies to Disney hotels. Sometimes Cheaptickets has a discount code that works with them as well.

Like a PP posted, Orbitz has a 15% off code right now but keep an eye on the exchange rate! Expedia is one site that charges in CAD so there are no surprises when you go to pay.

What are your dates? There are discounts if you participate in certain events throughout the year. I think the best bet is Orbitz or another discount travel site. Do any workplaces in Canada have discount programs? I live in California, so I don't know if it is different elsewhere, but I get a discount through my union.

Ok, now I'm feeling like a total idiot… My dates are for March, but the resort hotels are only booking into Jan right now. I put in some random dates in October just to get an idea of price, and it came to $340/night ish… that makes sense now that you mention it that the cheapest rooms would be gone already for October…

So I'm thinking, if I keep an eye on the website over the next few weeks/months so that I book on the same day that my dates come up on the booking system I stand a better chance of getting one of the cheaper rooms…

Duh.

We've stayed on site a lot so we get an email from Disney Destinations about every 3 months with a 15-25% discount. Make sure this visit you have your correct email and contact info listed with Disney Destinations and it may help in the future :flower1:

Orbits seems to typically have deals all year round. Disney will periodically put out deals, we stayed at PP this past April on just that sort of deal, but my guess is that over the duration of the 60th Aniversery celebrations that they won't be offering much if any in the way of accomadation discounts. They (Disney) seem to offer the discounts during slower times only.

Good luck on finding something, and if you do end up staying at PP you will love it.

I was able to book Grand Californian a few weeks ago for August through Ortiz when they were offering 20% off.

I was waiting months for Disney to release discounts like they always do for disneyworld, but I doubt they are with the diamond celebration.
