If they know something and have been hinting since yesterday..... that might explain the horses in Disneyland and other things.. The recall, the vaccines and that new bill maybe finally have been the one, two, three punch Disney and the others need to reopen? Maybe?

As far as I can see, the rumor that there would be a press conference announcement of revised guidelines originated from a single Twitter account. That rumor, in turn, got picked up from some people on Distwitter and around the different Disney communities but may not have been entirely accurate. I got my hopes up for it too! However, there's no denying the encouraging signs that are going on. Knott's hosting a hiring event on March 13th for "associates, cooks, ride operators, merchandise, housekeeping, parks services, and lifeguards" (via attractions magazine) is just one example. Imagine the excitement on here when Disneyland does something similar! And like everyone else, I'm curious if USH's cryptic tweets are for a dining event or something more significant?

Unfortunately, that's what I was wondering too. They haven't done anything like that yet so might be the source of hype. But like... thats not hype worthy IMO. haha.

I'm sure they could make a decent price on having some type of festival especially with access to Harry Potter.

Indoor dining and more capacity allowed for stores. Disney follows the state guidelines more than any other place I know.

Not even close to true. I live here. There are a handful of restaurants flouting the guidelines, but the vast majority of businesses are complying.

Yep, I know there were a few businesses that did violate the no dining by offering outdoor dining, we saw them. But almost all were complying, and Disney was STRICTLY complying. Orange just BARELY missed red. Maybe next week!!!

It's a 'taste of' event. It went live on their website for March with the description of experiencing, "...the themepark for this separately ticketed event..." and then the part of the site with the calendar "went down". I don't think this means that there are no announcements about reopening parks sooner than expected, but this was not the the sign I thought it was. I still think that themeparks will be able to open in a lower-tier/ earlier like may/june.

Yep. I was talking about in Dec, when the outdoor dining wasn't allowed either....

Day 1 of 14 to qualify for red probably tomorrow. Two of three already in orange. Very nice.

--Caveat - Our modeling is showing a dramatic rise of UK variant in SoCal. This will become predominant in April and some models show a drop into Red for a few weeks before a May bump back into Purple --- all depends on the reopening and vaccination rates. Will be very interesting on the race toward vaccines vs these variants. MTFBWU

I would not trust the yellow estimate though and the Orange estimate is also a bit of a guess - too many variables could change the data between now and then. Red by the next tier adjustment though? Yes, that seems very likely. Orange County numbers are very similar, if not a little better than Long Beach (I don't have good enough Orange County data).
