Er, I'm fairly sure there's no such thing as a child's AP. Definitely not at DLR. There's just APs for age 3 and up. So this doesn't really help with a child's ticket (not AP) that hasn't been used yet.

As a fun side thing, from what I can find from a search, DLR never had child APs (but I could be wrong and haven't found the correct info page yet; WDW info pages tend to be more extensive on historical pricing). WDW definitely used to have one starting in 1982 and final year was 2011 (changed to all the same price for adult and child in 2012).

Always fun looking at the history of these things! Thanks for my rabbit hole research distraction

I can see them putting up decorations for the parts of Main St that may be visible through the turnstiles or a camera lens just to lift people's spirits. Same for DCA on BVS and the areas that may be visible to shoppers. Personally, I think it'd be a nice gesture.

Add to that, When in WDW the one place we felt most at risk was Disney Springs - indoor dining and shopping, more people than we were used to, less strict admittance (though, yes, that is restricted), less adherence to the guidelines. Much like - Downtown Disney, and that IS open! Makes no sense.

Has anyone called to get a cancellation/refund on their AP after the expiration date? My parents just tried doing this, and the CM told them they were locked into the extension since their passes were expired (expired Oct 29th). I encouraged my Mom to call back since different CMs can give you different results, but not sure if they are actually out of luck. They had paid in full for their flex passes and never called in about an extension or refund before today (but I know the extension is the default for paid in full).

Someone else posted about extended regular multi-day tickets (extended until Jan. 12, 2022) in the Speculation Superthread. That person also got a refund. I'm still waiting for something official that I can post here, but it might be worth calling Disney to check on your tickets' expiration date to find out what's going on.

FWIW, after reading 2 encouraging reports of expiration dates being extended, I decided to contact Disney about my own tickets. This morning through chat, I was given the same old info about tickets holding their value... take them to the ticket booth... yada, yada. So this afternoon I called, the CM initially gave me the same information about taking them to the ticket booths, but then I asked him if it would be possible to check my ticket numbers and see what expiration date was showing in their system. He said he wasn't sure if that was possible, placed me on a 15 hold, then returned to say that unfortunately they had no way to look up my tickets while the ticketing dept was still closed. I know it's not uncommon to get totally different answers from CMS, but my experience was certainly the total opposite of those who were told their tickets had been extended.

I don't recall a child's AP back in the 1980s for DLR....well, at least a child's AP price.

Posters on the WDW boards said that they were told they would receive a refund check. It may take longer to receive the check since the process is different than the process to put a refund back on a credit card.

I'm trying to remember if we called before or after our expiration date(early Aug.)....I'm thinking it was after but ugh....I should've wrote down the date. Found your earlier post about this (see below). You are right that it was after your expiration date (the post is dated 9/20/20) and about what the CM told you at that time. Sounds like it might be time to call again to get updated information on this issue.

Hubby and I called Friday evening to ask about refunds on DD and my Sig plus APs. Since he purchased them for us on the payment plan(of course we paid them off right before the parks closed...lol), they needed to speak with him so I had him leave it on speaker so I could hear what they said. The CM he spoke with said they weren't doing anything regarding APs until they have an opening date. Once they have a date, AP holders will receive an email or something would be posted on the app or website with information about your options and it would need to be decided before the parked opened.

APs who requested and have received refunds have been sent the following email:

Dear Valued Annual Passholder,
Thank you for your patience as we work through this unprecedented time. Your request for a refund in lieu of extension of your Annual Passport expiration date has been processed, and we will issue a refund based on the number of access days that would have been available to you from March 14, 2020, the date that the Disneyland® Resort Theme Parks were completely closed, through your current Passport expiration date. If you had any add-on entitlements attached to your Passport – such as parking – applicable refunds for these entitlements will be included in the refund amount.
The refund has been processed by Disney but it can take approximately 7 to 10 business days to receive. This timeframe may vary from one financial institution to another. Please note that we will issue the refund to the original form of payment for the purchaser of the Passport.
If you have any questions, please contact Annual Passholder Member Services at (714) 781-7277. We do anticipate a heavy call volume and appreciate your patience as we answer all inquiries.
