We are getting some type of guidelines today. They released a preview yesterday afternoon.Gov press conference at noon link
So folks, do we see these new guidelines today? Will theme parks even be mentioned? Will our Disney Nerd souls be crushed or soarin’ ?
(I couldn’t resist)
It took me a second to get it. "positive" very funny!!!!NO DON’T! We need the numbers to stay low!
Oh good! I wonder if the guidelines will include only opening one park at a time along with the usual guidelines. I am genuinely curious as to whether or not they will/can open rides like haunted mansion, pirates, guardians, Ariel, monster’s inc., etc. it will be interesting to see how rides like that can be made “safe” considering the whole aerosol thing. We are getting some type of guidelines today. Thanks for letting us out of towners know. Hopefully today is the day we will FINALLY hear something. It has to happen eventually. We are getting some type of guidelines today. They released a preview yesterday afternoon.
Until @dina444444 posted that they gave a preview yesterday. My answer would have been not until Friday and very unlikely Theme Parks are even on the radar with so many other previously reopened business still closed. But then again who the heck knows anymore. The state as a whole is doing better but many areas are still seeing a climb in numbers and should in no way be reopening things such as theme parks and indoor entertainment, bars, restaurants, etc. OC is doing great though.Gov press conference at noon link

I feel like those have been there for a while? Maybe I’m not looking at the correct ones?Hi, I looked on the CA Covid website and saw some of the sector preview guidelines and saw nothing about theme parks. Just wondering if anyone has seen any theme park specific guidelines? I may have missed it.

Guidelines for theme parks aren’t yet included because the parks haven’t been given the ‘okay’ to reopen.I feel like those have been there for a while? Maybe I’m not looking at the correct ones?
True and I get that. I just think school can be more complicated because you have large indoor class sizes. Plus you have to consider cleaning, sick screenings, masks, etc.I don’t mean to be negative, but I just don’t see theme parks reopening in CA until more kids are able to get back to school. The big thing right now is getting to the point where kids can go back to class.

True! I wonder now with OC off the watchlist, that means schools can start to reopen, that can allow other sectors to reopen?I agree with you. I feel like it is more important to get the kids back in school than to open the theme parks.
Schools can open to in person instruction when a county has been off the watch list for at least 14 days. That was announced awhile ago. Other sectors, that were closed due to being on the watch list, can reopen once the new guidances are released, I assume on Friday, and say they can.True!
