Disneyland Rental Car Question

Hi again,

We'll be taking a shuttle or taxi to HoJo from SNA. At the end of our stay, we'll need a rental car as we'll be driving to San Diego and elsewhere. Are there car rental agencies closer to DL than the airport or will we have to go back to the airport to rent a vehicle? We really don't want to pay for the 3 days we'll be at DL as we prob won't be driving much anyway. TIA!

~Christine

I was looking for rental cars earlier, I know there are quite a few in the area. I beleive there is one in Downtown disney. There was one in the lobby of BWPPI last time we were there. I was going to use enterprise in anaheim because they do the pick up- drop off thing.

There's a car rental office in downtown disney - down at the far end near the movie theater and compass books.

Enterprise. I use the one on Katella. They pick you up. When you bring car back, they bring you back.
231 W KATELLA AVE
ANAHEIM, CA 92802-3603
Tel.: (714) 991-7195

I am part of Enterprises email program and got 25 percent off (good until Feb. 2nd)

i find the cost of rent a car in Anaheim to be higher than LAX even taking into account the fees and charges airport locations have, also factoring in the cost of shuttle for say 4 people

For our trip, we are doing the opposite. Picking up in San Diego and dropping off at SNA. You should really price it out both ways, don't assume knocking the three days off your rental will make it cheaper. The best rate I have found is through Thrifty, they are located right at the airport at SNA.

Thanks for this. I will price out both and see.

Thanks for a bunch of information from eveyone. I'm so excited to planning this trip!

My vote is for Enterprise! Only 1 person needs to go pick up or Drop off the car!! You can do your Enterprise ressie online with an AAA rate or an Entertainment Book rate. Join their "club" to get a discounts too. If you don't like the prices call them and ask for a better rate! Dh did this and got the One Way Drop Off Fee waived. We rented in San Diego and dropped off in Anaheim. dh worked us a good deal!!
