Disneyland recent price increases

It sucks but I am still going in Jan 2024.

Who's with me!?!?

We're with you! Bought a batch of 4-day tickets for the family a couple weeks ago to take advantage of the reseller special discounts before prices went up. Glad we did because it has jumped up a bunch since that offer expired. Didn't have any set plans but figured we could find a time to go with over a year to work out a trip. Looking at calendar and January is wide open for us and would be the perfect time to escape the Idaho winter and head south for some DL magic and California warmth!

That's what I like to hear!!

I am hoping for some better weather this upcoming January compared to last year. Picture the typical PNW person clad in Northface gear, that was us. Still had an awesome time as always!

That's what I am talkin' about!!!!

We are like two brothers from a different mother because I would plan something exactly like what you are doing.

You gotta do a trip report, would love to hear about her reaction about staying at GCH and the rest of the trip.

Cheers!
Hell yeah! I'll plan on a trip report! It has been so hard keeping it from her.

I know I've helped move the topic from the original @bbeagle , so I'm sorry about that... in short, I feel like park ticket prices, while pricier than before, are still relatively fair.

That being said, I hate the mentality that goes into charging $35/ticket for Genie+ though. I just can't justify it... even more so ILL. When a standby is 120min, you feel pretty compelled to spring for either. It'd feel less gross if standby lines rarely moved past 60min.

I know the feeling, whenever I do/plan something really cool for my wife or kids I can hardly keep it form them.

No worries about moving the discussion from the OP. The longer you are on the boards you will see this happen a lot.

When you post your trip report you better have an @SpaceMan5 in that post so I can read it.

Have an awesome time. Cheers!

I'm shocked at how much Disneyland has raised their ticket prices. We are lucky we're taking a vacation in February 2024 and not April 2024.

All this after Iger said on February 8, 2023: "It is clear that some of our pricing initiatives were alienated to consumers. I have always believed that accessibility is a core value of the Disney brand. We were not perceived to be as accessible or as affordable to many segments, as we probably should have been. After basically paying heed to what we are hearing, we started to address it and the steps that we took were actually were very, very positive. We got really, great reactions to it. "

Right now, (this very minute) it would cost me more to go to Disneyland than it would cost me to fly to Europe for a week. Because I can use miles. I can stay at the Ritz for free with points. Pricing is relative to what you can hack and you're choosing to go to Disneyland.

Looking at tickets for adults for April 2024 for one park, it shows a low of $119, a high of $194. The biggest difference in February is that the low is $104. That's $15. The high is still the same $194. Sure it's dependent on what day you're visiting, but you got a great deal of $50 for the kids. That's not a baseline for what Disney should cost.
