Disneyland Proposal while on leave from Iraq

The Blue Bayou would be great but please take into consideration the service is "hit or miss".

This is just and idea and I don't know if it will work or not but might be worth a try. Stop in at Pinocchio's for a snack and then excuse yourself to the restrooms. Stroll over to the Storybook Canal and tell a cast member you would like to ask your gf to marry you. You might get a boat all by yourself or at least a less crowded one. You may also try this at night while the fireworks are going off.

If she say's "No" you can always toss her overboard. J/K

Good luck and thank you for your service!

Did they just discontinue the just engaged buttons? I saw people wearing them on our last trip in June. The happily ever after buttons are cure too!

I'm not sure when they stopped handing them out. I spoke to Guest Reations about two weeks ago and they were the ones that told me they no longer have them but now hand out the happily ever after buttons.

no they have engaged buttons i looked ! and i saw people wearing them! :goodvibes

Thank you and (all our military) for serving. ((Big hugs)) Maybe some of the Disboard people who are going the same time as you can help you pop the question with a banner, or film it, or if you are there for MM, have someone from the board let the CMs know, maybe they will have you open the park for the day, and you can ask her first thing in the morning! That would be awesome! :thumbsup2 Wishing you all the best.

I live locally and would be glad to help you in whatever way I can once the big day comes. My husband didn't propose to me at DL, but on our next visit there we did stop at the wishing well and "proposed" a second time.
My niece is currently serving with the Marines in Afghanistan and I welcome the opportunity to help you, as you have been defending our country. Bless you!

Late night, before closing at Sleeping Beauty's Wishing Well, is quite romantic as well as a place to propose.

THE BOLD-- NOW THAT!! is a man who cares about his girl!!! that is just so sweet!! :lovestruc

I'm so jealous!!! You are too sweet to put so much thought into your proposal :thumbsup2 A prince indeed!!! I didn't get a magical proposal from DH many years ago and still am kinda bummed about it. I think I'll propose to him at Dh in Nov :) hummm

Anyhow, now back to the main issue at hand. Does your girlfriend have a favorite Disney movie? a favorite ride? or do you guys have a special place there? Just doing your proposal alone at DL is magical, but I think if you can add your personal touch to it would be terrific! find something that is yours and special to you both. and however you do it, try to be able to get down on one knee, ahhhhhh:love:

make sure you buy a special souvenior to remember your special day. An ornament to always hang on your tree, have a characutur (?Spell), or even shillouette together and then as you have your children you can hang all of their's around the two of you where it all began. So excited for you both and can't wait to hear how it turns out!!! Congrats!!

I’m so jealous too (of course all the ladies are!)..This has to be the sweetest planning of a proposal ever! Maybe someday my prince will come…

But I still like my button idea…
:dance3:

OMG, I JUST GOT A BETTER IDEA

Ok imagine a nice dinner at Napa Rose, then watch the fireworks, then go on some rides and then incorporate the wishing well idea at the END of the night so she has nooo idea!! Ask her what her wish is, see if she tells you, and then you make a wish, and then tell her that your wish is that she would marry you, then get on your knee and do the proposal ..she will be tears and shock she may not be able to speak!

:lovestruc:cloud9:

I know I rock at this, there is a saying “those that can’t wed (or get proposed too) help plan!”..haa haa :yay:

That's how my BFF's DH did it. He took her over there, told her to close her eyes and make her wish, she did and then he said "you should open your eyes to see my wish".....and he was on his knee with the ring in hand. :)

It takes her off guard, you know she is not expecting it!! and if you do go with the button idea, do it when she aint looking or ask the cm when she is at least 2 feet away so she can’t hear what your asking!!

BTW all us woman like to feel like we are special. Its gives us that happy fuzzy feelings!

Just wanted to say congratulations!

My brother proposed to his at the time girlfriend in front of the castle very early on in the day, so that they were able to experience everything Disneyland has to offer as an engaged couple. It was so cute!

However you do it, your gf will love you for it! :goodvibes
