Thanks! Seeing Disneyland through her eyes has been a wonderful experience. Can't wait to take her to WDW next year.:goodvibes

When they are little like that it is so special. We are going to have four year old on our trip with us this time and I am looking forward to it.

I use a Nikon D90. As far as Question #2 (Bokeh), one our experts on the Photography Board (found under the Just for Fun section) has a much more detailed explanation.

Totally agree with Mark, but it does not need to be complicated. If I am serious about the photo I take I use a 503cw with either a 50 or 80mm lens. No zoom, etc. It is a matter of technique. You will see a number of photo's that have been post processed thru software, etc. If you do digital you can do anything you want to the photo. Some folks are so good that you can not even tell if it was a photograph. Start simple, learn the techniques and work your way there. The photos I put on the boards are snapshots nothing more. Have fun.

You can go to the library and get a book on Understanding Exposure by Peterson, you will be surprized at what you can do once you see the light.

Jack and Goofyonthehighseas,

Thank you both so much for taking the time to help me. I really appreciate it!! :worship::worship::worship::worship:

Your explanations have been wonderful and I am already playing around with the manual setting on my Olympus, plus have ordered some books from the library.

Photography has always been something I love; when I was younger my dad and I shared this interest and even developed and printed our own film. But once the kids and digital PNS came along, I dropped the more technical aspects for expediancy. Now that they are tweens/teens, I really want to not only "re-learn" all that I have forgotten, but go further. I got PSE7 a while ago and am slowly playing with that too...

So thank you for helping to get me going to the pictures I've always wanted to take! Now to dig out the box of lenses/filters I inherited from my dad...unfortunately no digital body for them...maybe I WILL need that new one after all, hee hee. :thumbsup2

40 more sleeps

Wishing! DH and I were talking about when we should schedule our next Disney trip and he suggested next May. I looked at him like he was crazy and said, "do you know how far away that is"! I wish we lived closer! But, I think I may have convinced him to let me run the half in January. So, I can get a little fix in then.
