Great shot Danny. Are those your kids in the shot? What time did you take that shot and what day in the park?

Thanks KCmike. That was from a solo trip about a year ago right around closing time. Don't know the kids......

Work has begun on these buildings to make them into shops. Origionally, when the park was first built, these buildings were to be shops but instead the building was used as a warehouse for storage instead.

Thank you bonofreak! :)

You are very welcome, NostalgicDad. :thumbsup2 And may I say thank you for all the beautiful pictures you so generously share with us. :flower3: I look forward to them everyday! You are such a great artist. :worship:

I'm so happy we got to see the "old" CA park, so I can compare all of the changes to what it used to look like. DH and I are really happy about the nighttime show there - we were surprised there wasn't one there to begin with. Thanks for sharing your photos of all the changes...it makes me want to make another trip asap!!!

Cars Land is a whole new land to be in finished in 2012.
There seems to be 3 main rides... Mater's Junkyard Jamboree.... Luigi's Flying Tires... and ... the "E" ticket ride "Radiator Springs Racers" which will have cars that travel five times faster than Autopia cars.

When Disneyland first opened you paid for admission and a book of tickets. There were A tickets, B tickets, etc. Each attraction was given a rating (A thru E) and you used the corresponding ticket to go on the ride. E tickets were the premier rides (today they would be Splash Mtn., Space Mtn., California Screamin', etc.) When you were out of E tickets you were out of chances to ride those rides - although presumably you could buy more ticket books. I don't know when Disney stopped using the tickets - I know they were still in use during my first trip in about 1973. Anyway, the premier rides are still sometimes referred to as E-ticket rides - rides that would have taken an E ticket if they were still being used.
