Hi All ~

1. Is parking at DLR easy or do we have to take a tram like at WDW?

2. Can we just take a ride on the monorail for fun?

Thanks! Sandra

I can't compare parking at DLR to WDW, but I can tell you there is a tram that takes you from the Mickey & Friends parking structure to DTD. You also need park admission in order to ride the monorail.

There is a tram that takes you from the main Mickey & Friends parking garage to Downtown Disney. From there its a short walk to DL or CA. Theres also a tram from the Timon parking lot off Harbor Blvd.

Once at Downtown Disney it is possible to take the Monorail but you must have your tickets in order to board. This is because the Monorail stops inside Disneyland where you can exit into the park.

parking is much easier at DL than WDW. Patk in the garage and the tram will tack you to the security entrance. It is much quicker and easier. Unlike the WDW monorail, Dl's monorail only makes 2 stops. One in Downtown Disney and the other in the park in Tomorrowland.

Are you asking if you need a park ticket to ride or if you can ride it full circle? You can hope on the monorail for fun. I am not sure if they still make you disembark at DTD and then reboard as I have seen them do when it is very busy. I hope not though cause it'll be a pain with little ones. The new monorail is very neat! :)

Also parking at DL is different indeed however you will still need to board a tram to take you to the DTD drop off point. :)
