Disneyland Park TRIVIA

 No way! All these years I've been waving to George in Star Tours and he's actually decapitated in the HM?? :rotfl2:

How rude of George to put a look-alike in his film, when it really ought to be him appearing.

Once again, Stacie is a virtual encyclopedia of DLR knowledge! :worship:

That's funny, because that's what I think about you!!! I guess we're part of the same mutual admiration society. Actually, today I was telling someone that you and I both know lots about DL, but we know different stuff!!

Actually, this is not true. His name is Ira Keeler. From allearsnet.com, " At the end of the film, as your transport comes to a standstill, there is an actor in a control booth that resembles Star Wars creator George Lucas -- but in fact it is just a look-alike." And from wikipedia.org, "Ira Keeler .... cameo as supervisor who ducks under desk at the end of the ride-- mistaken by many to be George Lucas himself (uncredited)."

Yes, the bride's name is Constance and her 5th husband is George. Now that they have the bride in the attic, they've linked her/him with the picture in the shrinking room of the woman on the tightrope above the tomb stone which has his name on it, with the hatchet in his head.

Great trivia. Thank you!! Who woulda known that what we always thought of as the stretching room was really the shrinking room.

;) :p

Ok, that was my mistake, I meant the stretching room! I must have been thinking about HISTA, although I have no idea why!!!

Just teasing. I know that was your hands typing w/o your brain directing. :)

I didn't know that about George Lucas, though - always thought it was him.

"We Didn't Start the Fire"
Love Billy Joel

Ok, I totally remember my parents listening to this song, I think I was maybe 5 at the most, but where does it reference DL?

Ok, here is an easy question, although there are still a few that have not been answered:

On Soarin Over CA, who hits the golfball, and what is on the golfball?

Who was Walts first animated character?

Where in POTC can you find the pirate that is Walt?

Also, an interesting thing, first time I went on Monsters Inc., I started looking for "secrets". In the lockerroom, I looked back as we were exiting into the next scene and I saw some towels hanging on a rack, 1 of those towels was from The Hollywood Tower Hotel, went on it again the next day to take a pic, and guess what, that dang towel was gone!!!:confused3

I see it also mentions Davy Crockett and Peter Pan in the same line as Disneyland, cool!!:thumbsup2

It also mentions Mickey Mantle, by grandpa played baseball with him on the Yankees, cool hh::yes::

Doesn't Eisner hit the golf ball? I know there's a mickey on the ball.

Wasn't the first animated character a horse? That seems familiar but I'm not sure.

I am positive though that the Auctioneer is supposed to be Walt.

Here's an easy one: Where in DL can you find a part of the parking lot that DCA now occupies?

You mean the one we actually saw on Monday? or was it Sunday??

Those two days are such a blur now. I think I'll call it Smunday. ;) :lmao:

Good thing you have a dd that overpacks, otherwise, we never would have seen it. :thumbsup2

Oh yes, the girls in my family are all OVER-PACKERS!! :thumbsup2 If you need something, one of us will usually have it somewhere with us!!

How many attractions did the park have on opening day, and how many are still running?

Who bought the first ticket to Disneyland?

*BONUS QUESTION*
How much did that ticket cost?

Roy Disney bought the first ticket but some other people were in line or something and I think three of them received lifetime passes.

I thought the Auctioneer on Pirates was actually Paul Frees?

As far as opening day attractions still running... The Fantasyland foursome, Jungle Cruise, Caseys Mini Train, The Disneyland Railroad and...
