Just a quick qustion on behalf of one of my work collegues.

Her family are wanting to visit DLP towards the end of May/early June 2003 during the school holidays. Unfortunately, most brochures out at the moment only go to 31st March 2003. As she is keen to get free child places, does anyone know of companies who have brochures or are taking bookings now for the end of May?

Also, is there a better way of arranging the holiday than the official companies? She want to fly to Paris, and stay on site for about 3 days.

I would imagine that brochures from companies such as Cresta, Paris Travel Service and Thomson will be available now and taking bookings for May. Otherwise, tell you friend to keep checking for these brochures, as they will definitely be out before DLP gets their official brochure together!!

They all do flight inclusive packages, but if she wants to get a flight with a buget airline like Easyjet, then I fairly certain Cresta etc will also book room only. This should make it a bit cheaper than the prepared package, though bear in mind transport to and from the airport will be extra.

The free child places promotion is normally a winter-only scheme. My guess is that brochures for April onwards will not include this offer.

I've often found that for a single visit to DLP the package tours can be the cheapest way to visit. It might be cheaper to book travel seperately from accommodation/passes, but make sure that you include all the prices when comparing DIY v. package tour. As Bexx said, things like airport transfers can add a fair bit to the overall cost of a DIY holiday.
