I have several questions about Disneyland Paris.

1. Which Disney hotels are the nicest and best to stay in?

2. How many days are necessary to see both parks?

3. Is there a better time of year to go? Any bad times?

4. How much do park tickets cost?

5. Is breakfast included at any of the hotels?

6. In general, is it worth using my points to go to Disneyland Paris?

7. Is it easy to book or will I likely be waitlisted?

Thank you so much!!

Hi Billybob: I would also try your questions in the DLP forum. I got great info. there a couple of months ago while in the very beginning stages of planning a trip to DLP.

Good luck!

Hi Billybob,

I'm a regular at DLRP I can answer some of your questions :-

1. Which Disney hotels are the nicest and best to stay in?
Disneyland Hotel and The New York Hotel are the best two.

2. How many days are necessary to see both parks?
We usually can do both in a couple of days but stay for 3.

3. Is there a better time of year to go? Any bad times?
It gets really busy around halloween and school holidays although we usually try to avoid those periods. Remember ut's europe and can be wet and horrible so if you don't like that then late summer is probably a good time.

4. How much do park tickets cost?
$65/$53 for a 1 day pass
$175/$150 for a 4 day one.
But you can book a package included with the hotel

depending on your dates a fantasy annual pass is $187 which can get you a 10% discount on restaurants and shops. It's worth considering if you're staying for three or more days

5. Is breakfast included at any of the hotels?
Yes all of the Disney run ones.

6. In general, is it worth using my points to go to Disneyland Paris?
Definatley not - it's about 50 per night !! :sad2:

7. Is it easy to book or will I likely be waitlisted?
Don't know that one, never booked through DVC because of the huge amount of points required.

Take a look at www.dlrpmagic.com they have all the information.
If you want to take the annual pass option the let me know I can get you a discount on those as well.:thumbsup2

Hi Billybob,

As at WDW, everyone has an opinion on which hotel is best, how long to stay, where to eat etc.

I just wanted to point out that the points for Paris have been reduced for this year, as they no longer include park passes, so you would need to check out the planner to see what the current rate is for the time you want to stay.

You also need to know that to book a Disneyland Paris stay through MS, using points, you will have to buy your park passes through DVC before the booking can be made, as MS will not make the booking otherwise.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the info.

Am I permitted to buy an annual pass through DVC as they are requiring me to purchase park tickets through them??

I was told that only length of stay passes were available when I spoke to MS about it, but it might be worth asking them, just in case they now offer that option.

You will be expected to pay for the passes for all members of your party at the time you make the booking, unfortunately.

We used DVC points in Dec 07 to stay for a belated anniversary trip and to get our Disney fix (couldn't get enough time off work for a proper Orlando trip - but I can say it would have been cheaper!!)

DBF does all the booking and calling for us and he found it a total nightmare booking DLRP as they are a pain with MS and bookings apparently....we got tickets included and breakfast too as we were on the "old" system.

We stayed in the Disneyland Hotel - really nice but be prepared for chaos in the morning at breakfast as the characters are about - no real CM supervision and it's hard to get through the masses to just get out sometimes!!

If you stay in the Disneyland Hotel be prepared (this was a bug-bear for me) for a suitcase check at the main gates when you arrive and are heading to the hotel - everyone is security checked day guests and DLH guests - it was a stormy wet and windy day when we arrived and we had to open suitcases on these little tables with everyone looking and all our stuff getting a little damp!!

It's ok - but we don't feel inclined to hurry back to DLRP for lots of reasons - we love WDW too much!!
