Hi :wave2:

Can anyone please help with how I would go about getting to the above places as easy as possible for 2 adults and 2 kids. This is our first time in Paris (:cheer2: exciting!!) but we really don't travel much, so simple directions or map/pics would be great if possible please.
We are staying at Disneyland and want to take a day trip to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower (not going up, just to get pictures outside) then on return journey stopping at Val D'Europe to the Sea Life Center and dinner in the shopping Mall - any recommendations on cheap food there please? Is this do-able in a day? Also any other places worth a look along the same train line?

Thanks in advance.

I used www.vianavigo.com to plan out trips, it gives your routes times and the tickets you'll need. We then bought our tickets from the automatic machines at the station.
We used the RER A line to Chatelet les Halles, then the B line down to Denfert Rocherau ( Catacombs), back on the B line to Saint Michel Notre Dame and then the C line to Champs de Mars Tour Eiffel.

So you could do A line to Chatelet les Halles, B line to Notre Dame and you do literally pop up next to the Cathedral if you want some pics. The the C Line to Eiffel Tower. There are a few places along the way on the C line that we planned to stop off at, - (Invalides, Musee d'Orsay) we just ran out of time, it was Bastille weekend and incredibly busy.

We didn't swap to Metro, but others may have a better idea of routes using the Metro too :)

Val d'Europe is only 1 stop from Chessy Marne La Valle which is the Disney station or there's a free bus from Disney Bus Station which stops outside the Hotel Elysee, directly opposite the entrance to the shopping mall and where Sealife is located. Bus times are up on the Board.

PS re: Sealife I signed up to Paris Groupon and got my tickets through a deal on there :)

That's great, thank you for the information.
Is it easy to navigate your way between the train lines? Is it well signposted? Also do these trains run quite regularly?
Oooh and thanks for the tip for the Groupon Paris signup :)

Yes, trains run quite regularly and we found it easy to get around, also used metro when we stayed in Paris and it was just like using London underground.

Best place to take photos of the Eiffel Tower is at the Trocadero, then you can walk down to see it close up.

As Elaine said the signs are very easy to understand and the trains are very regular. :)

Eating at Val D'Europe is easy.
The food court is at the far end of the centre and has (at least) chinese, grill. italian and fish restaurant.
We usually only eat there as for 5 of us it is a lot more economical, but we have free half board vouchers this year.

Good, glad it's easy with regular traiins. Should hopefully do ok navigating our way then!

How long is it to walk over from the Trocadero to the Eiffel Tower? Love the look of the fountains. Would I still get off at Champs de Mars station to get to Trocadero?

Sounds like there is a good range of food available at Val D'Europe too :)

So helpful everyone, thanks.

It's about a 10-15 minute walk. If you come in on line C after changing at Notre Dame as Jill suggested then I'd get off at Champs de Mars. If you do decide against that and only want to see Eiffel Tower then stay on train from DLP until Charles de Gaulle Etoile where you change to metro line 6 to
Trocadero.

Thanks Elaine, think I will do Notre Dame too on the way to Eiffel Tower, so will get off at Champ de Mars then.
Is the return journey just reversed? as I will just need to go from Champ de Mars to Val D'Europe on the way back.
