Disneyland Resort: Behind The Scenes is coming on the Travel Channel here on the west coast at 9AM :) I just saw it on the guide!! A must TiVo for sure!!

ugh I'm in CA but I have Dish Network, and all our shows come on 3 hrs ahead of time :(
Which is usually a good thing but I wanted to watch that DL show.
It's some ghost hunting show now lol. Which is cool, cuz I like those too. :)

Same here! I went in search at 8:59 like a crazy person and then realized that it was probably on at 6. Usually that east coast timing comes in handy, but not this morning apparently. :)

Sorry :( I'll try to find out when it's on again. It says 2003 in the info but it's definitely NOT 2003 because it's showing the Small World Disney character add ons which were only just added on last year, so this is a new showing

Set up a dishpass for Disney and it will record everything with Disney it in.

FWIW, I just looked ahead on my guide for the travel channel and did find "Disney Storybook Vacation" about DVC.

Monday 6am MST.

i noticed that is was going to come on a week or so ago when i did a search for upcoming shows with a keyword search for disney. directv is awsome, i was able to dvr it so i didn't have to watch it at 4am. it's supposed to come on again.

It's completely a new show that's for sure, they even showed stuff on the Little Mermaid ride, including the construction and all of that so it must have been filmed sometime this year.

Really? I haven't watched it yet but assumed it was the same ol show that as been airing. I only recorded for my niece.

I guess I will have to settle with watching Aladdin on ABC Family :thumbsup2

I watched it, but noticed a few bits of inaccurate information.

For example, did anyone else notice they did a piece on how the gold spike under the castle is the "geographical center" of the park. As we've all seen on here many times, that isn't true.

When is it coming on again? My guide is only up to date to search 13 days out. I didn't find it.

Kristin, it is an older show (in fact, I've had it on the list below for a long time), but I think they may have revised it to add in a new scene or two. LIke maybe where they used to have a scene from the old IASW, they replaced it with a new one. But I've seen that show a bunch of times before, and in fact, I had it on my old DVR and lost it when the DVR broke down. So maybe it's back in the rotation on Travel Channel again. They haven't shown it in a long time - probably because they had to revise it.

Thanks for letting us know - I'll see if I can catch it again and keep it this time!!

Anyway, everyone should keep this list handy and look for any and all of these shows to pop up on Travel Chanel, Food Network, etc. at any moment:

Just in case anyone wants to look these up - here are assorted Disney park/park food-related shows to search for on the Travel Channel, Food Network, HGTV, Fine Living Network, The History Channel, YouTube, Hulu, Amazon (on DVD), etc. (some DLR-themed, some WDW; I bolded the ones that are Disneyland Resort-specific or that feature good Disneyland segments). There are lots of them, but these are some of the better ones I have seen and compiled into a list:

WDW-specific/and Disney Cruise Line:

"Behind the Bash - Disney's Anniversary Blowout" - Food Network

"Behind the Magic: Disney Holidays" (WDW) - HGTV

"Disney Cruise Line" - Travel Channel

"Disney: On a Dime" - Travel Channel

"Disney's Animal Kingdom" - Travel Channel

"Disney's Best Kept Secret" - Travel Channel

"Disney's Surprise Vacations" - Fine Living Network

"Fan's Guide: Walt Disney World" - Travel Channel

"Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort" (features all the 'food decorations' and edible displays around WDW) - Food Network - Hosted by Raven Symone

"Modern Marvels - Disney World" - The History Channel

"Season of Disney: Disney Splurge!" - Travel Channel

"Ultimate Walt Disney World" - Travel Channel

"Undiscovered Walt Disney World" - Travel Channel

"Unwrapped - Walt Disney World Resort" - Food Network

"Walt Disney World Resort" - Travel Channel

"What You Get for the Money" (WDW) - Fine Living Network

WDW & DLR:

"Disney Holiday Magic/Samantha Brown" - Travel Channel (features footage and mentions of DLR-holiday attractions/events, but is mainly WDW-based)

"Samantha Brown's Disney Favs" - Travel Channel (mainly focuses on WDW, but features some DLR-footage, tips and info as well)

"Unwrapped - Disney Delights" - Food Network (features segments on Club 33 and the bakery at DLR, as well as food segments from WDW)

DLR-specific:

"Disneyland Resort: Behind the Magic" - Travel Channel

"Food Network Challenge - Miley Cyrus' Sweet 16 Birthday Cakes" - Food Network

"Food Network Challenge - Disney Celebration Cakes" (for What Will You Celebrate?) - Food Network.

"Great Hotels - Samantha Brown - Disney's Grand Californian Hotel" - Travel Channel

"Guy's Disney Holiday: Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" - Food Network (hosted by Guy Fieri at DLR; taped in 12/08, aired in 12/09)

"Into the Fire" - Disneyland - (all about dining/restaurants at DLR) - Food Network

________________________________________________________

Samantha Brown did a whole series called "Great Hotels" for the Travel Channel, and aside from the one episode which featured the Grand Californian/DLR, several other episodes featured WDW hotels such as Animal Kingdom Lodge, Grand Floridian, Yacht and Beach Club, etc., etc. She may have even done an episode or two of "Passport to Great Weekends" focusing on DLR or WDW.

Also, there have been various shows about Disney weddings & celebrations at WDW on the Travel Channel and on the WE network ("Disney's Dream Weddings" is one of the WE shows).

Many of the Food Network's "Food Network Challenge" shows focus on making various Disney-themed cakes (Pixar-themed cakes, Villains-themed cakes, etc.) One whole episode of "Dinner: Impossible" was filmed around WDW as well.

If anyone knows of any other Disney-related shows (especially DLR-specific) I can add to this list, please post!!

FWIW, I just looked ahead on my guide for the travel channel and did find "Disney Storybook Vacation" about DVC.

Monday 6am MST.

This is going to be a half hour long infomercial for DVC! Also there is a Dis member that is part of one of the familys that was profiled for the show. He posts over on the DVC boards!

The show on my list above - "Disney's Best Kept Secret" - was the hour-long Travel Channel show all about the DVC, if I'm not mistaken. Our own Pycees312 - a longtime DIS'er - was featured in that show. Her family had a whole segment, and she and I were just saying recently that we noticed Travel Channel stopped airing that show altogether in the last couple of years.

So I am guessing that Travel Channel took portions of Disney's Best Kept Secret and added in some new things and renamed it with the "Storybook" title. It's probably 75% the same show, just like the Disneyland: Behind the Magic/Behind the Scenes is mostly the same show with some updates. I guess they are going through their archives and refreshing some of the things that need updates.
