Disneyland On Travel Channel!!

It's probably 75% the same show, just like the Disneyland: Behind the Magic/Behind the Scenes is mostly the same show with some updates. I guess they are going through their archives and refreshing some of the things that need updates.

I wouldn't disagree, most shows on the Travel Channel, Discovery and Military are made of recycled materials.

I took the time to watch it and was very surprised at how much was newer material. Not sure when it was updated because Dish has it as the same original air date (2003). But one thing I did notice is that it said WoC had a 9000 person ampetheter, and it turned out to be what 4,000?

I have a dvd set from Amazon called Disney Parks. It is 6 discs:

WDWR: Behind the Scenes
DLR: Behind the Scenes
Ultimate WDW
Disney's Animal Kingdom
Disney Cruise Line
Undiscovered Disney Parks

I know these have all been on the travel channel. I recongnize some of the parts from past versions and they added some newer stuff. It also has bonus features on each disc.

The only thing about these shows is that they never show enough. I always want to see more.

They took a bunch of the individual shows (on my list above) from Travel Channel, probably updated a couple and put them in a compilation set...which is good for anyone who didn't get them on the DVR! That's kind of like what Rankin-Bass does with their "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town," "Frosty the Snowman," "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," etc. DVD stuff - they take a handful of 4 or 6 different shows and stick them in a compilation as sort of a 'greatest hits.'

Disneychrista - it sounds like when Travel Channel decided to refresh the Disneyland show and add in the updated or new segments, they must have done it early this year - isn't that when we thought WoC had room for 9000 people? I guess they didn't get the memo that the number had changed so they could revise the voiceover!!:rotfl2:

When is it coming on again? My guide is only up to date to search 13 days out. I didn't find it.

disney storybook vacations: mon 13 @5am travel channel
disney vass with jamie (fishing): mon 13 @1:30am, 8am
disney epcot: tue 14 @4:30pm diy channel
disney dream weddings: sat 18 @7am we channel

the disneyland behind the sceans was the same day, but later. I'll keep a lookout and see if it shows up again.:happytv:

The 3 Disney shows that aired today all had a 2003 date stamp in the program guide. All though there was lots of new Disneyland info in there... They updated it with video and info about the changes in DCA (carsland etc..). But there was a lot of old stock video too (like old mark 4 monorail videos from 2003). I guess they don't expect the non DL fanatics to pick up on things like that! :)
