So this is our plan For our upcoming trip !!

We fly down on Halloween (oct. 31st) and fly home November 5th and staying at the best western park place inn and mini suites

we are buying 4 day base tickets for each of us 2 adults 4 kids (7,5,4,1)

we fly into SNA at 150 PM. the plan for this day is to either relax at the hotel and go to down town disney. OR upgrade our tickets to a 5 day ticket and hit CA for a couple hours before closing

The other 4 days will be doing DL/CA/DL/CA

Hoping to get a reservation at carnation cafe for one of the DL days to celebrate my little guys 4th birthday.

MIGHT plan a character meal as well.

we are pretty laid back go with the flow people.

we are budgeting $300 a day for food and letting each kid have $100 to spend on whatever souvenirs they want.

Since we are buying out tickets in advance we do plan on using our magic morning one day. Never have we done magic morning before so hoping we can make the most of it.

Any reviews on this Hotel or my plans ?? !! any help would be awesome :) :) :)

Should add we plan on eating the free breakfast each morning before heading to the parks

also planning on only bringing 2 single strollers for the kids and the baby carrier.

We will be there the same week. Should be on the lighter side crowd wise and hopefully also nice weather. We were there last year this same week and it was wonderful.

We never go into the parks on our travel day. We don't fly, we drive down and it takes about 7-8 hours. Traveling with young children is tiring for everyone. We always go to Downtown Disney when we arrive and walk around a bit, taking it all in. We eat a good dinner at one of the restaurants there, maybe wander into World of Disney for a short while and head to the hotel for a good night's sleep. That way, the kids can be happy and refreshed early the next morning. Once they're asleep, we have a glass of wine and get things ready for the next morning, making sure we have tickets, snacks, sunscreen, water bottles, etc packed and ready to go.

I haven't stayed at the BW before but I've heard only good things from others. It's extremely close to the parks!

Hi
It's our first time but I read dapper day is around 5th November so could be busy before or after due to this :(

Hmm i hope that doesnt add a lot of people to the parks. we fly home on the 5th so the last day at the parks will be the 4th :) !!!

Dapper Day is Sunday Nov 6 so you should be good! Might see an increase in attendance the last day of your trip but nothing crazy!

This. I'm expecting DD folks won't be out in too much force until Friday afternoon/evening, and it always seems to be busy Friday nights and weekends anyhow.

We will be there just after you leave (6-10) and we are also staying at BWPPI.

Our plan is similar to yours. I have a 5 year old and we plan to make a reservation for one character breakfast. We opted for the park hopper tho. We also plan to do a Magic Morning. Do you know how we find out which days it is offered on?

We get into town on the 6th and plan to visit Downtown Disney and then head to the parks the next morning.
I'm excited!

Im honestly not really sure how it works. hoping someone else may be able to answer that about th emagic morning?

also just talked to my husband and he as agreed to let us splurge and stay at the new courtyard with the water park !!!

Magic morning is for Disneyland and it is on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday. As you are going to be in DLR right before Dapper Days, I would google this link and see what the rates would be for your dates for the Disneyland Hotel and the Grand Californian. They may be less than the New Courtyard.

That's a good motel. If we didn't have babies that need their own room to sleep we'd still stay there were at Homewood suites this time. We'll be there this week too. I think it will get crowded from dapper day.

Yes, eat at your motel each breakfast.

There are a few gates open just for magic am at dland.

Re DD and crowds .... We have a week .... Fly in late 4th ..... If we do 4/5 days at the parks I assume makes more sense to do the days just before we fly out and do something else over the weekend?

Try to go to the Halloween party on the 31st instead of going to DCA if you're going to pay for a ticket.

And I don't know if you'd want to but maybe get a double stroller instead of two single strollers? I rent mine from City Strollers

If you plan on eating dinner in DTD on the 31st, I highly suggest making a reservation at 60 days out! It will be packed! It's Halloween, plus there is a party at DL so it closes early to those without a ticket and tons of people will head to DTD!!!

Having been to a Halloween party myself with little kids, I'd advise against it on a travel day. In my opinion, the Halloween parties are too late in the evening to be enjoyable for small children. You're better off making a dining reservation in DTD or one of the hotels and heading to bed early.

As far as right now we are using the travel day to take the kids to the water park at the note (we ended up booking the courtyard) and I plan to make reservations at the rainforest cafe that night !
