Hi There :wave2:

We just booked a last minute trip to California for September, and being Disney freaks, we are planning to visit Disneyland.
We have allowed two days to visit the park, has anyone got any tips or hints on what (or not)to do.
Do you think two days is enough ? we feel so rushed and just want to be able to see and do as much as possible.

Any help would be greatly apriciated

Many thanks

:thumbsup2

2 days should be enough......I personally go for 3 days so that I don't have to rush from park to park and I can take my time. Also.....check the DL and DCA close schedules..if you aren't going on a weekday or going after Labor Day weekend, the parks may not be open as late as you think.

Welcome to the DLR board. As the previous poster mentioned....3 days would be better than 2 days for several reasons. Check out the tips in this thread for some good background info:

Also if you can advise where you are staying & the dates (days of the week that you're visiting folks will be better able to offer opinions.

Have a great time visiting Walt's Park. :thumbsup2

We will be staying on Venice beach (not literally) and travelling to "Walts Park", we will be in L.A for 8 days from Sept 20th -28th, so we can visit any day of the week

Many thanks

Looks like this is an adults only trip? Then you should probably be okay with just two..as long as they are weekdays! But there are a lot of rides/attractions that are the same in WDW, so you can skip those, but be careful because even though they might seem the same, some are not such as Pirates and Space Mountain (both better in DL). But all of the 3-d shows are the same and many others. You can do a search- there have been many threads on this topic. But skipping those attractions and then just waiting to see if you have time at the end will make 2 days more reasonable.

Have a great time- don't miss the Aladdin show!

Thanks for your post. I will be visiting for the first time and your info helps.

Here's a great thread that describes attraction differences between WDW & DLR:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=802084

Venice is a good 40 min. (to an 1 hour & 40 min. in traffic) away from DLR. If it was me & i was going to "do" DLR in 2 days (on an 8 day SoCal visit)....I would do the following:

First Choice - Drive down on Sunday EARLY. Sunday gives you the Dreams come true Fireworks & also early in the morning & late in the evening it's not as crowded. Also Sunday has minimal traffic early in the morn. or late at night. THEN SPEND THE NIGHT & go to the parks on Monday. (stay at a motel on Harbor for $60-$80 instead of schlepping back & forth).

Second Choice - Do Sunday (for the reasons above)....& Wed. (which is NOT a MM day).

Third Choice - Do a Monday & Wed. (which are not MM days).

Have fun!
