Disneyland Mickey's Halloween Party & DVC Halloween Party

We enjoyed it last year (and WDW version too as part of a bucket-list trip).

Dates sell out very quickly...as in most of the nights. Those nights will be gone by first morning of purchase window. There is an annual thread on the Disneyland board here with tons of information.

Not as many adults seemed to dress there, at least on our night.

We took advantage of booking an upgrade. A blue bayou dinner/show that offered prime seats (yes, I said seats!) in front of the castle for the fireworks. Pricey but worth the splurge IMO.

Be aware it was crazy crowded, as in you can barely move in some sections of the park, despite CMs doing their best to direct people.

We also booked a dinner special that gave us 2 stadium-type seat cushions (no seats as MGM has) and a reserved area to watch Fantasmic. Not sure I'd spend the extra $ on that again though.

Thanks Keisha, I will look for the prime seats for both events. What day did you go? I went last year at WDW I felt rushed wanted to see the show and kids wanted to go trick or treating so we missed part of the Castle show, not to say it was the first time and didn't know we had to look for the Big Mickey head for the treats.
Thanks Rick

We have done the DL Halloween party - I think it was 5 years ago or so. It was fun! I missed the WDW halloween parade though. This year is the first year they have the DVC party I thought.

BTW, Fantasmic is currently shut down until StarWars land is finished.

We checked into DLH the 1st Sunday in October and flew to MCO on that Thursday out of SNA. Would have to check my notes, but believe we did the party Monday or Tuesday. Fantasmic dinner pkg on Wednesday, but could be reverse. It is mind-boggling how quickly their party dates sell out!

We started out doing a few nights in Vegas, then onto the Hilton @ USH for one night to do their version of HHN. They certainly have amazing actors in the roles of scareactors there. Was interesting to compare to USO's HHN which we enjoy every year.

We then uber'd down to Knotts. Will say we absolutely loved an overnight pkg we booked there for their scary farm. It included a buffet dinner with characters at the hotel, t-shirts & tickets. Included a skeleton key thing where you both got express pass & access to a special room pre the regular haunted houses.
