Disneyland Meet

The meet on Saturday was great. We all had a lot of fun. The poeple who showed up were: TheLionKing, BobBrazeal, luvdsny ( from IDAHO ), Barb, tammh-oregon, Tink33, DumboOrBust, poopie and her friend Allen, WMCathyCanada, WM Michelle, Teri, Marc, Mary Alice, Mary Jo, Kelly, and yours truly.

We got to see Blast and had dinner at Avalon Cove. Everyone liked the show and commented on it. We also had some fun with the characters at dinner. After dinner, some of us went to California Screamin' just to find out that it had broken down, again .

Then we all saw the Electrical Light Parade before heading down to DL to watch the fireworks.
After that we went on Space Mountain, followed by the Matterhorn to finish our night. We all then said goodnight and left to our vehicles to wait in the last line, the tram line .

The Highlights and Lowlights Of My Trip To DISneyland This Weekend.

My flights were good. Good=Uneventful. ::swiping foreheard:: Whew!
The Hilton Garden Grove Inn was very nice, clean, comfortable. I enjoyed having some friends staying in the rooms down the hall.
It was wonderful having personal chauffeurs during the entire weekend. Dayna and Tammy both drove to DISneyland, so they chauffeured Barb and I around.....felt like the Queen.
I had the honor of meeting many warm and wonderful people this weekend...we all just 'clicked' with eachother and had a fabulous time: MaryJo--who is just as short and just as WONDERFUL as everyone said she is. Nick and Kelly--who are GREAT kids!!! I felt like I already knew them from all of the pictures and posts that MaryJo has posted about them. They were great park guides too. We can all only hope to have such great kids! Teri--I met her in Orlando, and although we didn't get a lot of time to chat this weekend, it was nice to see her again. Mary Alice--What a sweetie! Makes me sad that I didn't bring my DD, because she and Mary Alice and Kelly would have had so much fun together. Next time for sure! Mary Alice, I'm sorry we couldn't ride BTMRR on Sunday. Let's put that down on or itineraries for next time, okay? Marc--You stole my heart! You really did. What a sweetie. He got me to ride Matterhorn for the first time.....Thank you Marc. I'm glad I did it. Bob--What a find Southern Gentleman he was. He reminded me of a cross betwen Frank (lowellsdad) and Ray (Ray Sharpton). He got me to ride Space Mountain, and although I'm glad I did it....and I'm really glad I didn't DIE doing it (LOL ), I'm still 'spinning' from it. Lesley--She was a bad influence on me--in a 'good' way. She was a hoot and a half! I lost my voice from 'whooping it up' with her on Saturday night. And boy can she shake her "coo-coo's" (as I called them because I couldn't think of the 'k' word she was using. ) And Rachael (poopie)--She fit in all too well. She is a neat person--who has a hidden Mickey on her body. Her friend, Alan, was a lot of fun too! Michelle--it was so nice to finally meet her. Judy (Judy from Boise) has only kind words for this lady...and now I know why. And there were others who I had already met but had the pleasure of seeing again: Cathy--Didn't spend too much time with her, but she was really fun to have in our group. What a funny lady. Dave--nice, nice guy. I think I sat next to him during most meals and/or events and yet I don't know one single thing new about him. Hmmm.....I guess we're BOTH just quiet people. Tammy, Dayna, and Barb--what can I say? They were my 'main squeezes' this weekend. Then there were some M.I.A.'s: Steve.... ....we really missed you. Shannon.....you would have had a Blast! SINK....hopefully next time. And WillyJ......weren't you the 'reason' for this meet in the first place? We're all really sorry you couldn't make it. We thought of you often. Hope all is well.
Let's see...I think we ate a little while we were there too. Ralph's was a very nice dining experience. I had the Chicken Airplane for dinner...very yummy! Our bill for 14 people was $630.00 Hello! Can't do that too often, that's for sure.
Avalon Cove was an experience in and of itself. As mentioned before, it's supposed to be a 'character meal'....but what we didn't realize is that they have their own characters We thought WE WERE THE SHOW! How embarassing when we found out that we were just supposed to sit and watch. Again, it was that darn Lesley who got us all started....oh, and I'm pretty sure Barb had a lot to do with our "whooping it up" too. Goofy's Kitchen on Sunday morning was a little more of a subdued meal. I think we were all 'hanging' from the night before...and there was NO alcohol the night before. Hmmmmm.....it's amazing how intoxicating pure belly laughter can be. Anyhow, our meal at Goofy's was delicous.....and fun too.
Blast--I had never seen this show before. It was great! A nice way to take a break from the 'hustle and bustle' of park hopping. It was also my first time for WWTBAM--FUN, FUN, FUN! I bet most of you don't know this......but some of our beloved DIS'ers are 'smarty pants'. There were 4 DIS'ers, MaryJo, Tammy, Bob, and Dave, who were on the Top 10 List several times. :::applauding::: Yes, we have some major nerdness, er, um, I mean some major 'intelligence' here on the boards. Watch Out Regis, here comes The DIS!! "Whoo-Hoo!"
Dayna's hat was a HUGE hit with DISneyland CM's........she got compliments and kudos all day from everywhere she turned. As it was in Orlando, the hat was a 'show stopper'.
Barb was 'bad karma' for us all weekend. Everytime she would attempt to ride something, it would break down. Poor Barb, we had to leave her in the room on Sunday so we could enjoy some of the coasters.
Tammy is a PIN HEAD! She's a trading fool...watch out! Oh, and Dayna and Barb are Closet Pin Heads. They both bought a kabillion pins....but they just stuff them in bags and leave them in their rooms. They haven't 'come out' yet.
Dave took video........but I'm quite sure I won't be in any of it.
MaryJo has this spitting problem....but I'll let her tell you about it.
I lost my purse on Sunday night. But we don't need to dwell on this.
And I'm sure there is much much more...but I have to resume my cleaning.

My goodness, Tia, you said a mouthful! You've pretty much covered the whole weekend, and did a great job, too, I might add. We did have the best time, didn't we? I so enjoyed meeting all of you new DIS friends and getting to spend time with those I already knew. I love that!! It was great to see everyone again, so soon after DIS-CON!
Now for my disclaimers:
I was not at DL when the monorail broke-I was still in the plane.
All I did was ask CM Andrew (at Avalon Cove) if the conga line was just for kids-and the rest is history!
And, is was NOT me that tipped the boat at Small World-really, it wasn't! I don't know how that happened.

That was so much fun. When can we do it again? We may or may not be up for a Memorial Day Weekend meet. Depends on DH's job.

And for the record, I am not a PIN HEAD. I just dabble here and there. if you believe that I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell ya LOL

It was really neat to finally get to meet MaryJo even if she did "spit" ice cream on me at Avalon Cove. I haven't laughed so hard in a long long time.

It was a blast to see everyone and I'm glad we could give you the record heat while you were here. Come back again anytime and we'll roll out the welcome mat!

But it sure was a blast. Allen is still talking about how much fun he had and wants to know when we are going to Disneyland next. This weekend he has duty and I'm getting my new puppy (Jasmine) so maybe the following weekend we will make it down there.

He not only kept up but was leading the pack sometimes.

It was definitely the best meet I have been to at Disneyland.
