The meet is actually at the Carnation Plaza Gardens. If you're looking at Sleeping Beauty Castle from Main Street, it would be just to the left.

oh thanks for the correction! lol!!! wow I'm so used to Disneyland Paris that I actually thought it was on the right hand side of the road XD

I'm off to bed, I already feel jet-lagged :lmao:
I've got the feeling that Leap Day is going to be a fantastic (and truly crazy) evening-day to be at DL. I can't believe our stay matched that special date, what a great coincidence! :) We're looking forward to it :D

I'm going to try and stock up at Home depot for lime green mickey heads - I'll put a couple on my bag, so if you see me, don't be shy! Come on up and say hi, and I can pass on a few mickey heads to you, so we can all be found.

I'll bring them to the meetups, too. This is going to be awesome!

I think I got the wife on board with this. We will see you guys at 2 if not passed out on a bench somewhere...

I have a feeling that right around 3-4am, the Main Street Cinema and Lincoln will be the places to be!

I'm overcome with excitement and joined this forum because everyone else seems to feel the same. But....I'm wondering what closing time of 6am REALLY means. Will it work like all other times in the park...like when the park closes at midnight, what that really means to us, is that we can GET IN LINE for an attraction just seconds before midnight, even a long line...or shop an extra hour AFTER midnight. Traveling from Denver by myself and it feels very emotional, and a lot of commaradie from this site!!!

:welcome: Glad you found your way to us! :)

I feel the same way!
we're from a foreign country and it's awesome the amount of help and support you can get in any area of the Disboards! I belong to other travel forums but this is amazing. Everyone here has the same love for everything Disney and it's so full of awesome people who are always glad to help other Disers :D

I was wondering something similar to what you posted but regarding the hopper pass. I don't know how they'll count the dates. or maybe I'm having a dumb moment here XD

I just hope we make it to the Dis Leap Day Meet, it's still Carnation Cafe at 2am, right? I'm just worried about the incredible jet lag we'll have XD but we must get those ears and that t-shirt... or at least a collectible commemorative pin :D I'll try to print those lime green mickeys and see if we can stick them to our backpacks. If you see a couple of very lost spaniards with huge undereye circles just say hi!

:D

Off topic, I know, and I probably asked you already, but where in Spain do you live?

Do you just pin on the lime green Mickey? I'm heading to Home Depot to get some for our group. I'm soooo looking forward to this event.

Subject to capacity....that frightens me. We were planning on getting down there around 2 or 3, and gotta check in to Disneyland Hotel.

Do you really think we won't be able to get in around 3pm?

Where online did you find the pic of the shirt? Was there ANY other information about the event?

I didn't get the pic online :rolleyes1 ::cough cough::

But it didn't have any other helpful information other than that unsold event merch (hopefully they have enough of it to go around to do this) will be sold online up to two days after the event. I hope it doesn't sell out. I want a shirt, but my flight doesn't land until 10:20. I probably won't make it to the park until after midnight.

:goodvibes

I'll be going that day too!! I'm so excited and can't wait. Going with 2 friends... planning on meeting up with another friend and her brothers. I'm also trying to get another friend to go to. I've already been to Disneyland twice this week already too, lol. :dance3:

Anyone have any ideas when or if they will close the park to people entering after a certain time? Planning on doing more of a night thing...

We're packing this weekend - leaving on a jet plane Tuesday. We booked our hotel right across the street from the main entrance. Thought if we didn't, by the end of our 24hour stint, we might not find our way back to a hotel farther away. ;)

We don't care too much about the freebie ears, but will probably line up around 4 -5am because we really want to have our feet on park grounds at 6am, just to be able to say we were in the park for a full 24 hours.

So excited!! Continue doing happy dances every chance I get!

"Like" https://www.facebook.com/BullseyeOnAStick . . . . this is our personal blog page for our Disney trip. Look for Bullseye On A Stick while at the park!

Can you help me distinguish what the "lime green Mickey is," please. I'll check out a Home Depot in a Denver suburb and would love to do the 2 am meet, but I see threads mentioning a lime green Mickey, but don't know what it is that I'm looking for....an iron on for shirt, a hat, a glow in the dark safety vest?? (well, not that, I know). Not on FB and can use any help. Also, for those with no hotel, and little, no, or some luggage...lockers, lockers, lockers. $10 or $15 will make it do-able, and also for those that need shorts during the day and warm coats and stuff at night. Looking forward to meeting up.

We live in Seville, Andalusia (Southern Spain) :)

Gullywhamperess asked about the lime green mickeys... it's this, right?:

what puzzles me is that some of you are talking about finding it at Home Depot so I might be wrong! :confused3
We're packing!!! and we don't know what to paaack! XD
And I'm making sure my ipad is fuulll of stuff, we'll have a 12-hour flight ahead of us... *already dead of boredom by just thinking of it*

And we want to do the Leap day thing but we also want to visit LA, Universal but still... we want to spend friday, saturday and sunday at DL... tough planning... since Monday afternoon/evening is already wasted, we'll be zombies when we get to Anabella. If we're lucky to have some strenght left we'll head to a groceries store near the hotel to buy some food. And we'll probably spend the evening either sleeping or strolling around downtown disney or the gardenwalk :)

I can't wait!!!

I've printed my own lime-green Mickeys. People who get them at Home Depot get the alien green mickey heads.

You can put a hole in it, then laminate it or use packing tape on both sides to make it waterproof. The website that m-tinkerbelle put has some pictures that you can print out. You can also put them in PowerPoint or a photo app to customize them. :)

M-tinkerbelle, I visit Spain now and then and go up to Asturias (other side of Spain) to Gijón (or Xixón) and the Llanes area. I've visited Sevilla a couple of times. It is beautiful. :)

Lime green is the official un-official color of Disboard members. For meets or any other Disboard event, members will create name tags or wear clothing with lime green color.

Home Depot carries Disney brand paint and the paint chips are Mickey heads. Members will grab those to use for their name tags and arts & crafts projects.

Hope to meet you there!

Ahhh, it's so hard to believe this is just in a couple days! It feels like we've been planning it for ages now!

Is it just me, or does anyone else have the urge to change into pjs after midnight?

Hahahaha!! I asked my hubby if we could change into sweats since we'll have been wearing jeans all day. He was all for it then said it might make us feel too relaxed then we might have to go to sleep. Taking jammie bottoms just in case!

thanks! I love living here! (I'm from Argentina but I moved to Seville when I got married :) ) We've never been to Asturias or Gijón but we're looking forward to go in the near future (if only we stopped going to disney parks... :P)

I couldn't print my mickey heads, my printer went crazy at the worst moment, just when we have to print our boarding passes  I'll see what I can do :D

Here's some new info for those of us lining up at 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

The Orange County Register reports that the guests will be allowed to queue for up to 8 hours beforehand in order to get into Disneyland, with the first 2,000 receiving a special, limited-edition pair of Mickey Mouse ears.

Those who decide to join the queue as early as possible will be able to park in the Pumba Parking Lot from 10pm on February 28. They will be asked queue in the esplanade area that sits between Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, although they will have to leave briefly at 4.30am to allow security checks to take place. Color-coded armbands will be used to enable guests to retain their place in line
