Has anyone done the Kids Races at Disneyland? I am wondering where they are at and when? I've read it starts after the 5K finishes and seen pictures from last year where it looks like it took place on Main Street. Any help in further details will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Paul

My DD ran last year. It was run down Main Street with different start points based on age group. Each age group was started in waves to prevent kids from being trampled. Parents could run with their kids if they wanted to. It was fun but a bit chaotic especially waiting for the start and in the mob scene at the end of the race. The kids got the same medal as the. 5K runners. I hope this helps a bit. She does want to run again this year, so DD had fun.

Not much to add from the PP. My DD is going to run it again this year. She could not stop talking about it for months and now she is looking forward to it. Especially now that she has started her "training" just like Daddy is for the HM.

I even signed up my DS who will be 13 months when he runs/walks/waddles in the 100 meter race. I was worried that he might not be walking yet, but he has been doing that for a few weeks now.

We've done the WDW kids races 3 years now. This is our first Disneyland race. I've run backwards in the WDW kids race, filming them run. I think I will enjoy running down Walt's Main Street more than the kids will, but they love showing off their medal after the race.

Thanks
Paul

Last year, the 5K race ended on Main Street and I believe the kids races were on or around Main Street following the end of the 5k. In a newsletter to 1/2 Marathon participants last month they had the 5K map. This year the race ends in DCA towards the back of the park, in front of the water in front of Paradise Pier; kind of where they have restaurants. The letter didn't say anything about the Kids Races, but in the past they are near the end of the 5K race. So I would assume in DCA. Hope this helps.
