Disneyland is a work of love: June 2010 PTR 6/2 p.61 updated itinerary

I think there should no problem adding to that one at all.

:goodvibes I won't be calling first- we'll just show up. :thumbsup2

We've never done a few on this list....so I guess we're in the same boat!!

:welcome:

Never done the silhouettes....but it's not really high on my list. I remember doing these in grade school...but I'm pretty sure these are done much nicer!!

I just found mine from when I was a kid so that is what's prompting me to get theirs done.

Never been to Wine Country....but we don't drink wine.

I am not a huge wine drinker either, acid reflux, but food menu looks good and everything I have read has been positive.

Done quite a bit in the Animation Studio, but we've missed the drawing "lesson" as well.....but plan on trying this in July!!

:thumbsup2

Love taking a leisurely ride on the Mark Twain! Last year, my hubby & I got to ride up in the wheelhouse & blow the horn & ring the bell......I was like a little kid!!

How cool!!! :woohoo:

I wasn't that thrilled with Tom Sawyer Island/Pirates Lair. The kids like to run off & get lost in the caves. It tends to scare mom too much to have her child missing for any amount of time.

:scared1: I am the same way but DS really wants to do this.

The tortillas right off the line are so yummy!! We got a fresh, warm one when we did the Welcome to Disneyland tour!!

Love fresh corn tortillas! :cloud9:

Never seen Captain EO, that was running during a time we weren't able to travel to Disneyland.....so looking forward to seeing it this trip.

My middle DD is a huge MJ fan so this is for her.

I hate to say it.....but I've never stepped foot into Innoventions. I didn't want to lose valuable Disney time in there....but my older boys have been in there twice & say....Mom, you really should go & look around!!

Innoventions in WDW is super cool and I thought the same thing until we went in. You could truly get lost in there. The kids want to check out Disneyland's.

I don't like the swings.....I saw a video of a very scary accident with that kind of ride & I swore I'd never get on one or let my kids do it. Though, I'm very curious to see the new "Silly Symphonies" theme to it!

 Yikes!!!

Storyteller's Cafe we've had lunch at....very good. This trip we're going to do the character meal at breakfast.

Again this is for my middle DD. She has this Disneyland must-do list a mile long and I'd like to help her out.

We ate at the Blue Bayou for the first time last year....it was very good....but super expensive. We found the food was just as good (maybe even better) at Cafe Orlean's. So that's where we'll be repeating this trip.

We'll be sharing, splitting ourselves, for sure. ;)

Safe to say, the DVC at GCH will never be in the cards for us....so enjoy & take lots of pics!!

I will. :goodvibes I think I am more excited about this than anything else. I told DH last night not to beg to add on points there..I just won't give in. :rotfl:

I'm very excited to see the World of Color!!! Just hope they have the crowds figured out...so it's not a nightmare!! :scared1:

::yes:: Me too! I am leary about arriving 2 days after it opens though. :hyper: I am praying for a GCV show pass perk which I have heard rumor of. :wizard:

Where is the WoC info???????

What exactly is a volunteer cavalcade?

I can't believe they don't have WOC on the schedule yet. I'm gettin' tired of this under wraps business. I mean it's like area 51 or something...Just give us some planning time Please!
Oh-- hi-- saw your sig!
:hippie:

It's awesome. I did realize I am going to have to try to squueze her in when we check in for the Blue Bayou. Luckily I reserved 3 tables for 11 people. A 3 top and easily be a 4 top. :thumbsup2

After calling almost daily for about a month to add one more person to Thanksgiving dinner, it was a complete non-issue when we showed up. They just said no problem and we were seated in the normal time.

:rotfl2: I know, right?! World Peace does not hinge on this so spill already! Also, this daily park schedule reveal is lame. :rolleyes1

:wave2: and :welcome: Looks like our trips are close together.

:thumbsup2 That's what I like to hear. You had Thanksgiving at the BB? Neato!

I'm with you on the secretive WoC......planning is already tough with DL, since they don't release schedules until it's almost time to go....... Really want to know if there are going to be PS available!!!

When we did the Blue Bayou, the split fee was only $5.00 which made it affordable to do so.....but I've seen that fee has gone WAAAAAAYYYYYYYY higher since then.....almost as much as purchasing another meal. :scared1:

Depending on how long you have San Diego is a great town, you may want more than one day.
I agree, I bought a book on Los Angeles and Southern California and San Diego looks like I could spend a week there all on it's own!

They do have DTD and I like Disneyland's better. They also have the Anaheim Garden Walk. :thumbsup2 You cannot see both parks in one day without missing a ton. I might be the wrong person to ask as our trip to just Disneyland /DCA started at 4.5 days and I was in panic mode about getting it all done. :rotfl2: I am now at 6 days and feeling less stressed. ;) I would plan on at least a full day for each at minimum.
I saw on the previous posts someone suggested the Tripit website. I took a look and absolutely love it! I signed up and am working on getting everything into it. It's already helped me put it in perspective. I booked a room at the Hampton Inn, which is only a mile away (so they say) and since we won't get there until probably 3:30ish, I think our first day we're either going to go to Huntington Beach or go over to Downtown Disney, it will all depend on how we feel after making the journey. But after looking at the schedule now, I have 3 days atleast for DCS and Disneyland parks. I think that will be enough, but the schedule will be loose enough that if we decide to add more days at the parks, we can. Do the park tickets work like WDW? Should I order them now or can I get them when we get there? Is it cheaper to do it now?

I would make PS for the Blue Bayou (the restaurant inside POTC), Napa Rose, and any of the nicer places like Wine Country in DCA. Carnation Cafe in Disneyland can be iffy as far as walk-ups go as are some character meals.
I liked the Blue Bayou, I checked out the menu online and I think thats somewhere we're definitely going to book. My family unfortunately aren't too much into the whole "foodie" thing so they won't be hard to please. I want to make sure that I have atleast one really nice dinner to celebrate my nephew's 21st. The rest I think we'll wing it. Is there an In and Out near there? Did I read that correctly?

I think the touristy part of LA is a pit. :scared1: If you are looking for something else close by like 15 minutes away, try one of the beaches, Seal and Huntington are my favorites. :cloud9: great restaurants and shopping and fun Main Streets.
Noted about LA, we want to check it out though so we can atleast say we've done it. There is atleast one day that I plan on sitting my butt by the pool, maybe I'll let my husband and nephew make that trip and I'll go get a massage and hang by the pool. The pool at the GCA looks amazing, even the pool chairs look incredible! I wonder how the whole cabana thing works. I'm used to those costing mucho dinero at the pools in Vegas and even here at Hershey Park. Has anyone had any posts on that that you know of?

Makes sense. I did GAD , and I am debating on whether to use it for the fastpasses or the pins.

It's $12 now but I hear it comes with an additonal side and salad. Even so, I won't hork down a big old slab of meat at 11:30 am.

It's just beautiful.

You will love HB! :cloud9:

The tickets are cheaper if you order them now. My friend got hers from the Disneyland website- said they are the cheapest right now.

I think the nearest In n Out is about 3 miles away. It's the best ever.

I haven't seen anything on the cabanas but like you said, I would expect them to be about the same as Vegas, maybe $300 or so?

AWESOME! That's great news! I'm sure you'll have a great time!:cloud9:

:thanks:

I have heard about the FPs but not about the pins. What's the pin deal? popcorn::

It does and it is plenty of food.

On the VGC owner's thread, someone said it is about $110/$125 for half day and $185/full day. It has a flat screen TV and a small frig that looks like it is stock with water and soft drinks.

There is a special Mickey ear hat with 7 pins for passholders. I found a photo of the WDW one on ebay - I assume they are similar.

That doesn't seem bad since I thought it was $300. :rotfl2:

That is adorable! I would love that but wouldn't pay $150 for it. :thanks: for the link!!!!

I didn't look at the link but this it.

It seems so so. I mean it's better than nothing but I am thinking I may want the pins.

I think the Ears and pins look cool. I would take them over the super FP if I am thinking it is what it is. Tell me about the FP option. I thought I knew but now I am not sure.

Get this? Ridemax is current to 6/12. :hyper: I am being tested!!!

Oh no doubt. For a laugh I looked up the artist that is playing at the Tomorrowland Terrace. :rotfl:
