Disneyland in the rain

I was looking at weather.com this morning and the forecast was 20% chance of rain on Monday and either partly cloudy or sunny for the rest of the week. I'll take that over the 40% chance of thunderstorms I saw yesterday. Of course I know that can change, but it gives me hope. (Monday is the one day I really don't want it to rain!)

Me too. DD has a BBB reservation in the morning & I don't want her beautiful makeover to get soaked!

Someone posted in the past about taking a "ShamWow" to dry off the seats on the rides. You then just wring it out and put it in your bag! Sounds like a great idea!

That's such a good idea! I'm going to have to try that. I'm going in February and I've read that it can get rainy that time of year. I definitely want to be prepared so I don't have to walk around in wet jeans D:

With a forecast of 20% chance rain, I would bet there won't be a drop the whole week. It so rarely rains in So Cal!
Darn, I would love rain if it meant no lines!

If THEY cancel it yes. If it runs and you don't show up no.

The models backed way off the rain amounts this morning. They seem to be in agreement and are now showing no rain on Monday and Tuesday. Maybe something coming in on Saturday night.

We were there in the rain a few times. I agree with other posts. My tip is...when the rain is coming but not yet there then ride the rides that typically shut down in rain so you don't miss out. In DL bobsleds,teacups, & Alice all closed during rain. So did FP machines for Roger Rabbit and BTMR.

We have been in November several times and each time there is at least one day where there is rain to varying degrees. For the most part the locals stay away on those days and the parks are wide open, as only those staying from out of town are there.
Love the idea about bringing rain boots, our feet did get quite wet and that was the only thing that made it un-enjoyable. Other than that it was great to walk the parks unencumbered by crowds.
I also read somewhere to bring baggies and wear them outside your socks/inside your shoes, then your feet stay nice and dry. Might be easier to pack than 4 pairs of clunky rain boots.

If there is a light rain do they still do both the World of Color and the firework show at Disneyland?

When I was there for spring break and it was raining this is what I was told. Fireworks do not happen in the rain and WOC only depends on wind.

I believe this is true because they announced the cancellation of fireworks and fantasmic by late afternoon (it was pouring all day) and World of Color did happen. Though by that time it was not raining so hard.

I think because the people working for Fireworks (the ones on the roof) can't do so in the rain and I believe WOC is started from somewhere inside (I have yet to find them). It also might be the set up on the castle every night.

As it gets close to show time if they haven't had a whole park announcement then assume it is going to happen or ask a cast member.

Fantasmic is like parades, if there is even a chance of the performance area being wet it is not going to happen.
