Disneyland in the rain.... :)

My Sister and I were out there Yesterday and we kept laughing we must be the only ones hoping for rain! :rotfl:

The threat of rain really kept the crowds down though and made for an amazing day! The longest line of the day was Nemo at about 15-20 mins. Even Space Mountain was pretty much a walk on!

In the end the rain didn't start until we were in the Tram heading out at about 10pm. It was a great day to say bye to Jack and the Holidays until next year.

BTW we kept hoping for rain after the "snow" we thought it would be funny to see what happened haha!

We were there yesterday (1/6/08) and were really surprised by the light crowds. We had occasional light sprinkles while we were there.

We arrived at 11am and went on almost a dozen rides including Indiana Jones, Space MTN, Holiday Haunted Mansion, Holiday Its a Small World, The Materhorn, Buzz Lightyear, POC, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan, the Train (all the way around) and Storybook land. We left the park around 4pm to check into our hotel and get some dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory when it started to seriously rain.

Contrast this to 30 Dec through 2 Jan when we were there last, what a difference!

Have you ever wondered what it is like to be the only group on a ride? We had Dumbo to ourselves last night. And they kept going until a small group decided to ride too. I wish that I had my camera because I have never seen Disneyland that empty.

We walked on just about everything. The CMs were so great and let DD and her friends ride multiple times. A special thanks to Matt at Autopia.

I'm so happy to hear about the reports from yesterday. I have a group of friends there, and haven't heard from them. I'm guessing they experienced the same thing and are just so busy having fun they can't call.

We got there Friday night around 8....took us an extra 2 hours on our drive but we were very careful. Got to the parks, went in, NO lines.....and light rain. We rode BTMR and we were the ONLY people on the train!!! Just the 4 of us! It was GREAT!!!!! Then we went to Splash and we were the only people, walked right on!! The water didn't splash too high so we weren't that wet when we got off. :) Walked to Blue Bayou and got a waterside table in under 10 minutes. Had a nice leisurely and absolutely scrumptious dinner and then left. I love BB!!!!! :) Walked to Pirates and got right on, walked to HM and got right on, walked to PP and got right on, Matterhorn and got right on and then walked to Nemo where there were 10 people on the whole sub!!! LOL Then we left and got absolutely soaked on the walk back to the HoJo....we were completely wet when we got back......it took me 10 minutes to peel my jeans off! LOL So, we hung everything up and hoped for the best for the next day.

Saturday we headed back, had breakfast at Mimi's and short lines at the parks again!! We saw the fireworks and the girls loved the snow!! Sunday we had a short day and spent our time in CA. Had a great time with no crowds. We wished we could have stayed longer but I had to work today.

Either way, DL in the rain was well worth being drenched! LOL

I must be the only one who goes in the rain and it is PACKED!!!! I swear! I went in the summer in the rain and it was PACKED. . . we were there dec 8th or 9th when it rained and it was again PACKED. . . of course we bring our own ponchos. . .

as for the crocs we found out a couple key things.b . . your feet will get wet and they are soooooooo not safe. . . I was walking in the area between dca and dl and fell, landing quite hard on my bootie. . . the sucky thing was I had to get on all fours before I could figure out how to get up!!!! my son said I looked like in the cartoons when they hit a banana peel and flip up in the air. . .

Sorry about your spill Ariel. I've learned long ago that Crocs and water don't mix well, the hard way- kinda like how you did.

I didn't feel it was busy at all. I took both of these around 12pm-2pm. The rain clouds are looming!
