Disneyland in September

Is there an official thread and accompanying FB group for people heading to Disneyland in September? I'd love to connect. This is our family's first trip to Disneyland (we've been to WDW the last two Januaries) and in addition to the three of us, we're taking two of my sisters with special needs and a special needs fellow who lives with my parents. So I'm sure I'll have lots of questions before we actually get there. LOL I love our January 2014 WDW group (who is still sharing and visiting) and think a similar group for this trip would be wonderful.

Right at this moment, I don't know of any threads about folks going in September. There is a thread about Dapper Days. Once Sherry gets the Halloween SuperThread up and running, folks tend to start posting when they'll be there during HalloweenTime (mid-September through October).

Bumping this up. I've seen official threads for every month through December, *except* September.

Are very few people planning for September or are we just not a chatty bunch ?

I guess I'll just keep lurking in the Halloweentime thread!

You could always start a thread to see if it gains any traction. Or if you're concerned, you could drop the moderators a note asking them if it's okay if you start a September thread. I don't think there are any rules to who gets to start one of those treads.

Otherwise, if you're going during HalloweenTime, I'd stay on the Super Thread. There is usually a list of who is going when (or at least to which parties) on the SuperThread and the new one should be starting soon.

Speaking of which, when Sherry gets the new one going, don't just lurk! : Say Hi! Join in! We're a pretty fun bunch that all really like Halloween at Disneyland.

Maybe we should start our own September thread - we are going the first week in September - only realised that it included Labor Day weekend after we booked - it's not something we celebrate over here.

I will be there Sept 14th thru the 26th. DH and I will be staying at Best Western's Stovall Inn.

I just know I'm too flaky to maintain an official thread, lol, so I was hoping someone else would start it...

But it looks like there are some others, so maybe we can get something going! And I'll definitely being gleaning all the info I can from the current and new superthread

I've been hanging out for a September thread too, but I don't want the responsibility of starting/maintaining one.

We're doing a split stay. Starting with the half marathon/Labor Day weekend at Desert Inn and Suites with my husband and my parents (I arrive on the Tuesday, parents on Wednesday, then DH on Thursday). Then we'll all go for a week long road trip while the crowds disperse. My parents and I will then return for another week at DLR from the 8th to the 15th, staying in a vacation rental off Walnut. DH has to go home after the road trip So I guess technically I can be part of the August group too...

I'm so excited to be celebrating a few things on this trip! First of all, my first RunDisney event, it is also my birthday on the 14th, AND I'm so excited about Halloween time, I really hope it starts before we leave. I'm desperate to see the Haunted Mansion decked out for the holidays.

We are going 9/15-20 and we are very excited! We haven't been in 6 years (by the time the trip rolls around).

It's our youngest son's second time going, but the first time he went he was only 1 1/2 years old. We will be celebrating his 8th birthday (on 9/13 ) and our 25th wedding anniversary ( on 9/23 ).

Our kids will be 13, 10, and 8 so they should all remember this trip well. It will be our first time during Halloween time, as our other trips have all been during the summer.

We're going 9/14-19! Staying in the GCH. It's my dad's 60th birthday and our first trip in 4 years. We used to go annually but I moved to the East coast and had kids so it's been harder. It will be our son's first trip since he was 11 months (he'll be almost 5) and our daughter's first trip (she'll be 20 months). So excited! We usually go in January or November, and I think this is our first September trip (at least since I was very small).

Has anyone found great rates for on-property in Sept? I got a flyer in the mail with a rate for Disneyland Hotel $350/night. Is that as good as it gets?
