My vote ~ early June. But you'd want to check on when the block out date would be for S. CA APs ~ I guess it was crazy the last few days they had before being blocked for the summer. I have decided to move my trip. The advantage is i will have more money to spend as well as most things being open. My next question, June or july? and what week? I am not too fussed about crowds as I will have about 10 days to see everything. Its more important that everything's open and running and im happy to take my time around the parks.

My vote - personal opinion only - is that if I was taking 10 days at DLR in your circumstances I would start the trip sometime around June 25. That is about when the SoCal AP holders start getting blocked out. You can fine tune that date after the 2010 AP schedule is released sometime later this year I believe.

we went the first week in march 2009 and it was great, there were no lines, the longest we waited was 15. the weather was wonderful, over all I was planning this years trip for then, but the whole rivers of america is putting a crimp on that for sure, I love fantasmic, my seven yr old adhd child sat thru it every night of our trip, that was the longest he had sat still in his whole life.

I was at DLR this year from June 6-10 and a half day on the 16th. The first part of the trip was manageable (fantasmic didn't open until the 11th), but the 16th had an attendance of 63,000 and was quite packed. If you can't go in May before Memorial Day weekend (May 29-31 in 2010), I would also recommend going after the socal aps are blocked. I would also keep in mind when Fantasmic will be returning from its hiatus, the first couple of weeks will be quite busy.

It looks like SoCal Select gets blocked out starting June 23. But the full SoCal AP is good for the week of June 27 to July 2. So if your criterion is that all SoCal APs are blocked, you'll want to go during/after the 4th of July weekend.
