Disneyland in late January?

I've only been to Disneyland once, in September, and it was wonderful. I'm wondering how I would fair going around the 22nd of January? Flights are cheap and so are hotels. But Rise of the Resistance is opening on the 17th. I'm wondering if I should move it to the 29th?

I don’t think there would be a predictable difference between those two dates.

Keep in mind that the end of January is usually short hours and tons of refurbs. Not sure what they’ll schedule with ROTR opening, though.

I don't know if IASW will be down at that time for the removal of the holiday overlay. HM usually goes down first after the end of Holiday Time, then IASW. If IASW is important to you, check to see if it was up and running by the end of January of this year.

I figured it would be. I was originally going to go earlier, but HM is usually down and back up in late January. HM is a must do for me, more so than IASW.

Late January is my favorite time of year to go. That's when my birthday is, so I've had the opportunity to do birthday trips a handful of times. Sometimes it's blue skies, sometimes it's raining. I don't mind the rain, so this has never been an issue for me, but something to keep in mind. There are more refurbs going on than other times of the year, but again I don't mind since I've been to DLR enough that I'm okay missing out on something on a particular trip. My favorite part is lower crowds, but I'm not sure how low they will be this coming year with ROTR opening around that time. Lots to take into consideration!
