On average, how busy is Disneyland during the last week of May (after Memorial Day) thru the first week of June. This would be for 2006.

My parents, siblings, and my immediate family are all planning to go. My children are 7 & 4 years old...this will be their first trip to Disneyland. I don't want to spend all of our time waiting in lines, and/or worrying about losing children in mobs of people.

Any information you could give me would be greatly appreciated. We will need to go in the spring, but figured February - April would not be good because of school vacations and spring break. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!!

The last couple of times I've been the first week of June, the park has been so overrun with area school groups that I'm not sure if it's worth going then to beat the summer crowds. The weekends are actually less crowded, but during the week, there are tons of jr. high kids all over the park.

I think this year I'm either going to try to go before Memorial Day, or the second week in June when school gets out.

The first half of June is very busy with end of the year field trips, as well as some days with shortened hours due to Grad Nights. I have been twice and would avoid going again during this time.

Two words: June Gloom

Actually great weather for visiting parks; bad weather for visiting beaches!
We were there June 5-9 and the parks were great. Crowds were moderate and very managable if you do it right. I would go again at this time (and I DON"T wait in lines).
