Does anyone know what the hours will be in the month of OCT. I found an unofficial hours page on google but I don't know whether or not it's accurate. Trying to plan my 10 day trip Oct 19-29 and it seems the park is only open till midnight twice in that 10 day span and closes at 8 everyday thats not a Halloween party day. Thats crazy to me. 4 hours early almost everyday!! Makes me want to change my dates. You would think the hours would be officially posted by now so people can plan properly. Its less than 2 months away

Hours on the calendar don't come out until about 45 to 60 days ahead of time. 8pm closure for weeknights sounds about right. Late opening and early closing times are the norm for October. Some days last October Disneyland didn't open until 9am.
There is a thread that has historical hours that you can check out. Disney's hours are usually similar to what you'll find in the information there.

Looking at the historical hours is the best you're going to get.
Disney doesn't seem to care if guests are interested in what the hours might be for planning a trip.

It’s not at all crazy to close the parks at 8pm during the slow season. Oct is slow season to Disneyland. To max your time in the parks be there before rope drop and utilize MP.

everyone says its slow but then says its busier than the summers, im confused lol
It’s ok :) It has gotten busier as Fall Break grows in popularity, last Fall was quite busy actually but Disney still did not consider it a traditional busy season. We’ll see soon if that will change this year.

I sincerely hope it is not busier than this summer, that would be miserable! Unlike last summer this summer has had consistently busy crowd reports! The relief seen when APs were blocked last summer was not as apparent this summer. And APs access was extended a bit later at the last minute into June.

The good news is if Disney sees the crowds flooding in higher than expected they will modify park hours. They did this the week before Xmas last year, on like Tues all of the sudden the closing hours changed for the whole week! How busy was it for that you ask? I waited like 30 for Monsters Ink around 6pm. Little Mermaid had like a 40 minute wait around 7pm another night. Those rides are often 5-10 mins. ...my long winded point being even though the park may feel “packed” Disney has a different definition than you do.

Low/Non-Peak Season does not = Low Crowds. Low/Non-Peak Season does = shorter hours, lower staffing, refurbs and construction, nighttime entertainment on weekends only (Fri., Sat., Sun.), and some/moderate crowds. And even moderate crowds can feel bigger and more dense when you don't have all rides running and running at full capacity and you don't have the big shows running every night to spread out the crowds. Combine this with MHP nights when non-party goers have to leave DL early and go to DTD or DCA -- then those areas become very congested.
After Labor Day to Veteran's Day is Low/Non-Peak Season. Then comes Holiday Time (High/Peak Season for sure!). Remember, there is no more easily predictable low/no crowd time at DLR any more.

You can find hints of what the hours might be if you look at dining availability once you are 60 days out.

Part of the reason it can feel so much busier IS the reduced hours/capacity happening, especially if higher-than-expected crowds show up for those days.

If you're there before an 8am rope drop, even on a very crowded day, you're going to get some low-crowd time. If you're there when the park opens at 10am and closes at 8, though, there isn't a low-crowd time (unless you've stumbled on a randomly actually low-crowd day), so the park is crowded the whole day and you have fewer hours to accomplish things to begin with. Even though there are less people from an attendance perspective, it can feel jammed.

As noted above, "off-peak" time doesn't really = "low crowd" time. It means that the scheduling (for both park hours and CMs, which affect a lot) is "off-peak," though.

Also impatiently waiting on october park hours, but using historical for now as the best i can get!
