Disneyland Hotel - room type change

Does anyone have any experience with being able to change room type? I have several nights booked at the DLH but all nights are in different room types since thats all that was available when i was booking. Im hoping that more room types open up the closer we get to our trip (3 weeks out), but not sure if we'll be lucky enough. Id really like to avoid moving to a new room every day given I am traveling with a 3 and a 6 yr old. UGH. thanks!

I would call and speak with them directly, I don't know if you can change that online. Maybe you could book rooms for 2-3 nights at a time, so even if you had to change it wouldn't be every day. That would be such a hassle! Hopefully some rooms will open up as it gets closer because people sometimes cancel.

I would say keep checking online for availability. I had different nights booked two in different room types because that is all the was available but just a few days ago I saw that there was availability for a reservation in the same room type so I called and they were able to make the new reservation and transfer the funds from the other room.

well that was good advice - I called them yesterday and it looked pretty grim that anything was doable to fix it. But early this morning I checked the site for the 293857029385720398 time and i was able to at least get 2 of the nights in the same room type. Now just have to get the 3rd night. hoping itll pop up between now and my trip!
