Disneyland hotel question

We are finally going to spend a day just relaxing and not leaving home at 2am driving 8hrs and spending 12hrs in the park! We are staying at the Disneyland hotel (my childhood dream come true!) and want to take the kids to enjoy the pool for the day before heading over to Goofys Kitchen later (we have reservations).
So my question is, does anyone know if we can enjoy the pool while we wait for the room to be ready? Check in is at 3 but we were hoping to enjoy a few hours in the pool before getting ready to go to dinner. We were hoping to use the pool at noon or so.

Yes you should be able to use the facilities when you check in. Your room may not be ready but you can store your luggage and use the pool.

The way it works is you can check in whenever you get there. They'll give you your Key to the Magic room keycards immediately, which give you access to the pool and chargeback privileges, and then they'll call your cell phone and let you know your room number once it's ready. So after check-in, you can just check your bags with bell services and start enjoying DLR.
