disneyland hotel parking

I'm just wondering if valet parking is worth the extra $..
Any input would greatly be appreciated.

Depends on how light you pack. The hotel parking is not really close to the front desk. If you have a lot of gear, and few people capable of carrying their own, valet might be worth it.

They have a checkin lot. Park there, get bags to Bell Services, check in, move car.

Just stayed there in July and we used self park. I did not see any value to using valet. We did go out a few times and use the car and just self-parked it again.

We used Self parking on our recent visit and it worked out fine. As others have said there is a temporary area you can unload bags close to the lobby and then move your car to self park. Especially if you don't plan on going in and out many times a day, and don't want to walk the parking lot, I think self park was fine.
