I've seen lots of people asking for where decent rooms are for the Disneyland Hotel, but never really seen any decent answers.

Well we've just got back and our eventual room was a really good room - room number 3228 (2nd floor in the West Wing, the wing with the swimming pool). The room looked towards the park, but it was mostly obscured by trees. We could just about make out the top of Space Mountain and City Hall from our room window, and could see the tops of the fireworks at night.

You could just about see Main St station through the trees too, and the whistles every now and again were nice to hear.

But the room itself was pretty quiet, and really handy for the swimming pool and the restaurants (being on the same floor as the restaurants was good).

They tried to stick us in rooms overlooking the car park in the East Wing at first, but we asked to be moved - I wasn't paying all that money to have a view of a car park!

When I get a chance to scan the hotel map, I will post it on here, as you can see the decent room numbers on it.

Thanks for posting this, i'd be really interested as i'm thinking we'll splash out on this next trip!

Here is the scanned image of the hotel map - hope it works OK.

Can you request a room overlooking the park? When we go at Xmas we love walking down the windowed corridors in dlh and staring at the park all lit up!

You might be able to see a bit more from higher floors perhaps, but I'm not sure if the standard rooms are on those floors. Certainly on the 2nd floor, like us, the view is obscured by trees a bit, but you can see the odd glimpse of the park here and there through the trees, including the lights. At Xmas, there might be less leaves on the trees, so you might see a bit more from the 2nd floor (didn't think to look what sort of trees they were though - they might be evergreen perhaps!).

I reckon from the 4th floor you could get a decent view over the tops of the trees - perhaps somebody else can confirm what sort of rooms are on that floor.

Like I said, we asked to change our room for one in the West Wing, because the rooms they gave us initially in the East Wing overlooked the car park, which we didn't really fancy. I thought only the Castle Club rooms faced towards the park - now I know that some standard rooms do as well, perhaps some more targetted questions can reveal which are the best rooms.
