Disneyland hotel cell phone reception?

We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel last week (June 4 -8). This was our first stay in a renovated room. We were put in the Wonder Tower. We got absolutely NO cell phone reception at all in the room- I'm talking ZERO. It drove us crazy, since if one of us left the other in the room, we couldn't communicate by cell. We had to go down to the tower lobby area to make any calls, use any smart phone E-mails/internet etc. We stayed in an old style room in the Magic Tower last summer and did not have this problem. Our reception was fine there. We were wondering if it had something to do with the glass they used to rennovate the building and if this is now going to be a hotel wide problem. We meant to ask the front desk, but never had a chance. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone get a signal in the renovated rooms? If so, what tower and floor? Anyone have any information regarding this issue? Just curious for future stays. I love DLH, but DH is talking Grand Californian if this is now a hotel wide problem at DLH.

We have stayed at the GCH the few times and never had a problem. That is with a iPhone and AT and Terrible.

Thanks Jack....although you are just going to get my husband going! I have an Iphone and AT and Terrible too. DH has an "antique" Nokia that actually works great as a phone, unlike the Iphone (generally he has a signal even when I don't, but no such luck in the Wonder Tower). He is also on AT and Terrible.

T-Mobile with windows phone7 in the Dreams tower worked fine. It might depend on carrier, and location of your room.

You should email Customer Service about it on their website. Maybe they will be able to fix the problem for future guests, but they can't fix a problem they don't know about. :)

Odd. Last month we stayed at the DLH, 5th floor, Dreams Tower (renovated room). Never had any problems with reception ... we have Sprint and our traveling companion has T-Mobile, all Android-based phones (Samsung & HTC), and we split up/called back and forth fairly frequently. Perhaps its the way your particular phone/service gets a signal? FWIW we've never had a problem with reception at VGC either and we love that more for the location ...

Good idea! I hope it won't be an issue in Aug when we get there. We have iphone at&t too.

Anyone else who has been there recently? (with our with out a problem).

Just got back and yes their is still AT&T issues in the buildings. We were in Frontier building and it ours would not work in the room. Sometimes my iphone would hook up to the wireless, sometimes it wouldn't. Outside the rooms they did work. My husbands phone (a older just "phone" phone) didn't work either. I was able to send a text to him that go through.
