This is my first post ever on this message board, therefore it is also my first Pre-Trip Report. Ive been reading trip reports on various boards for awhile now and finally decided I could just write one myself! I love how the people on these boards get so excited about other peoples trips and how helpful they are. Our trip is now only 9 days away and Im getting ridiculously excited!
Who is going: myself (20), and my [future] DH (21)
Dates for our trip: June 27 July 2
Hotel: Fairfield Anaheim Inn (on recommendation from good friends)
Mode of Transportation: Flying and Super Shuttle from/to airport
We are getting married on June 26 and leaving early the next morning for about 4 ½ days at Disneyland! I have been to DL multiple times, my last visit being October 2009. DH has only been a few times and hasnt been since he was in middle school. He has never been to DCA. Out of the two of us, Im definitely the more passionate Disney fan, so it is needless to say that one of my main focuses of this trip is to show him why I love Disneyland so much! I have never been on a visit longer than 3 days so Im really glad that we have time to take it easy and do a lot of attractions that I have never been able to do. Because we are both still poor college students, we are definitely doing this trip on the cheap, and therefore cant afford a lot of the special things that people on their honeymoon often do. However, a meal at Blue Bayou was a must for me, so that is essentially our splurge of the trip. Anyway, I have a tentative schedule lined out for the days that we are there, so here it is:
Sunday, June 27:
Flight from Boise leaves at 8:40 am (his parents think we are crazy for leaving so early the day after our wedding, so Im hoping well just be running on adrenaline!) Our flight lands in Orange County at 11:25 am. We will spend the day in Disneyland, probably break to check into hotel, rest, and eat dinner. This is also the day where we will pick up our Just Married pins and purchase our wedding Mickey ears.
Monday, June 28:
First full day in the parks. Get tickets for World of Color that night! Nothing too specific planned for that day other than WOC and introducing DH to California Adventure!
Tuesday, June 29:
I was so excited to find out that a Magic Morning was included in our tickets so were hoping to take advantage of that on this morning. Hopefully spending the whole day in DL, including reservations at Blue Bayou for lunch at 2:00! Im excited for this because I have never eaten a Monte Cristo in DL and I will finally get to. We are also hoping to see the late showing of Fantasmic! that night.
Wednesday, June 30:
Hopefully breakfast at Mimis, heading straight to DCA. Spend most of the day taking in this park. Definitely seeing Aladdin! Doesnt feel like a trip to DLR without a viewing of this.
Nothing else really planned.
Thursday, July 1:
This day will mainly be devoted to doing attractions we either havent been able to do yet or doing our favorites again! Toy Story is also one of my favorite movies, so when we found out that Toy Story 3 was coming out so close to our wedding, we decided to see it on our honeymoon. So hopefully on this day we will catch a matinee of this movie in the Downtown Disney theater.
Friday, July 2:
Plane takes off at 8:10 am (ah! Too early!). Arrive back in Boise at 2:25. Recuperate from our trip.
Anyway, that is basically what I have planned. Im so ready to just be there already, taking in the parks with my new husband! If anyone has any other (cheap or free) ideas for a newlywed couple then that would be great!
