I haven't even gone to Mickey's Trick or Treat Party yet and I'm already planning my November & December trips, but that's why I'm a DISer of course!;)

I know they start decorating for Christmas immediately after Halloween, so my question is:

When do they start having the "A Christmas Fantasy" parade?

I have always seen clips of the woodens soldiers and it bring so many good memories of snuggling up and watching those old Christmas cartoons.

I have gone during the holiday season before but never get to see the parade. I think I have gone into a new stage of Disney-lovin' because now I'm happy to sit and just soak in the magic:wizard: :lovestruc

What's Santa's Reindeer Round-up all about?

I'd like to know anything & everything about Disneyland's holiday season. Currently my first holiday visit will be November 2nd for my 20th birthday and what is more magical then spending my day at my favorite place?! My second holiday visit will be sometime in late November or early December.

Thank you!:lovestruc

I believe the Christmas Parade starts its regular run about a week before Thanksgiving. However, they do run the parade over Veteran's Day weekend because that is when they film the Merry Christmas Parade from WDW special.

Santa's Round-up is in the Big Thunder Round Up area. You can visit with Santa and get pictures. They also have real live reindeer that you can see, but not touch. They have coloring, cookie decorating and other crafts as well. They also do some live shows with the Hillbillies, I believe. You can also catch Mrs. Claus and Christmas Pluto wondering around at times.

The absolute best time to visit DL during the holiday season is the first weekend in December.

Thank you for the information! I plan on going early December & in the middle the week to get the minimum of crowds.
