So it looks like we are heading to Disneyland and it sure was a surprise to us!! My beautiful daughter competed in our states National American Miss Pageant in the preteen age group, this past weekend it was her 3rd year competing, and surprise she won!! So we are headed to nationals at Disneyland the week of Thanksgiving!! This will be our first time at Disneyland and in California we are super excited.

Here is our trip info so far!!

Dates: November 23rd-December 1st, 2014.
Hotel: Marriott Anahiem

Here is the cast going:

First up the reason for the trip my beautiful daughter Brianna.
She is 12 a 7th grader, she lovessss everything Disney, as all princesses do, she loves sports; soccer volleyball cheerleading and cross country.

Next my son, Jordan he is 15 a freshmen he enjoys soccer football wrestling and track. He is super excited about our trip.

My husband, Adam he is awesome and is a very supportive "pageant dad".

And me Jessica I love everything disney and am super excited for our trip and sooooo proud of my daughters accomplishment.

In all honesty we are not a pageant family like you see on TV, my daughter got interested when she received an invitation to compete 4 years ago and has been hooked ever since, but pageants are not her life she enjoys lots of other actives and does lots of volunteer work. This win took us totally by surprise and we are so proud of our daughter and excited for her time at nationals.

I will add some pictures and an itinerary later.

That's so awesome! Sounds like an amazing opportunity for your daughter and the whole family!

I will be there during the 2nd half of your trip, Nov 28-Dec 1, so I am definitely going to follow your report. I have thought about doing a PTR as well, but not sure I can devote the time to it. I did just book the Disneyland Hotel though, and I now have butterflies in my tummy!

This board will be super helpful in planning your trip, have fun!!

So I have been very busy since DD won and we started planning our trip. I have since booked our airfare and most of my planning has actually been more focused on getting DD's nationals stuff together, also my family has decided to do a family trip to disney world next Christmas (2015) so I've been busy helping my sister price some things out and trying to get our trip dates nailed down, we have approximately 25 people coming on that trip so coordinating with everyone has become a big project.
Anyway back to his trip I have a sort of itinerary we had to cut a day short due to DS having a wrestling meet on the 1st and I am still trying to fit it more disney time which I should be able to do as soon as we get DD's finale schedule.

Congratulations to your daughter! That is awesome! I can't wait to read your trip report! How exciting! I wish my kids would "have " to go do Disneyland for something!

I totally get your wrestling son and admire his dedication. I have two boys in high school wrestling. My oldest, a Junior this year, will not miss a wrestling tournament, EVER! We have to plan all of our vacations around his wrestling schedule. He practically wrestles all summer between USA West Regionals, Fargo Nationals and camps so we always vacation in August right before school starts.
