Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend Returns 1/11/2024 - 1/14/2024

Posting here since not everyone will know to go check the runDisney side of the boards. And this is information DLR going people should be aware will be happening.

The races are back after a long hiatus (last races were in 2017)! But only one of the DLR race weekends sadly and it's moved from September to January.

We’re so excited to bring runDisney races back to the west coast in 2024 and are even more excited for the return of the fan-favorite Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. Taking place January 11-14, 2024, the weekend will include three endurance events, a challenge and more that are sure to be filled with memorable moments and magical miles running at the Happiest Place on Earth. Stay tuned for more details about the race course, medals and more in the coming months!

Club runDisney Registration: February 7, 2023
General Registration: February 14, 2023
Virtual Event Registration: February 17, 2023
Race weekend: January 11, 2024 - January 14, 2024

Just wanted to comment that they've only announced the dates for the 2023–2024 season. It’s possible there could be races in the fall of 2024, they would just be part of the 2024–2025 season.

I'm excited about it. Also noticed the weekend is right after WDW's Marathon weekend so hopefully that may help us in getting registered and not selling out asap.
How is the registration process ? Is it like it was back in the day with the old races at DL?

Lets hope we get more than one back here. I would love to have the Tink 1/2 back.

It’s on the run Disney site, it operates like how the recent dlr event ticket drops have gone with the virtual queue. Despite the close timing, I’m expecting these races will sell out very very quickly like the springtime surprise weekend in 2022 did.

Those January dates just aren't working for me ~ here kids go back to school on the 8th, I can't justify them missing more school after a two week break!

True! Tink feels unlikely right now, but there's always a chance they moved it again. I'm not sure I would like it being late in the year, though. It does make sense they wanted to lead with the DLR half marathon weekend, though, to bring the races back.

Fully expect the fact there's only one announced right now to make this registration insane because we have no idea what if anything else will be coming back.

I think you can only register one person at a time, but you don’t have to re-enter the queue if I’m not mistaken. However, I’ve only ever registered myself for races so I’m not entirely sure.

I'm so excited to have the DLR races back. It's my anniversary weekend so an extra something to celebrate.
