Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend 2026

My fellow DL race participants, I have a question about POT that I hope you all can answer.
On the runDisney website, it says "if you claim you will finish a half IN 2 hours and 30 minutes or less" you should submit a POT.

Here's my issue. My time for a half I completed this year is 2:30:45.
It's the 45 seconds that's throwing me off. At first I wasn't going to submit the time, because I understand if you submit the wrong time, you're bumped to the last corral. But that was when I thought POT had to be LESS THAN 2.5 hours.
Does the 45 seconds still kick me out? Or since it's 2:30 should I go ahead and submit it? I really don't want to end up in the last corral because of my own error (especially since my goal for the half I did was to get sub 2:30 for an earlier placement) but I also don't want to miss out on having a POT and not using it.

Those 45 seconds are still making me crazy, two months later. That blasted final hill at the OKC Half! :rotfl:

I always thought of it being 2:30:00 or less personally. Maybe email them and see if they respond by the deadline? Worst case scenario is that you do get the penalty, there's also a chance that they either let you in the POT corral or just put you in the first non-POT corral since it's close enough and not exactly clear on the website. Would guess that the last option is most likely but I feel like I've heard a wide range of reports on people submitting POTs where it's not exactly clear where you belong (particularly when it comes to submitting half POTs for the full, where they're not clear at all about the half-to-full translation).

Not sure if anyone here has experience of being right on the edge like this (2:00 or 2:15) one way or another.

I would email track shack and ask. Obviously there is a cutoff and only they might be aware of what the official cutoff is.

Thanks for the advice! I went ahead and emailed them to see if they could clear it up. I hate being on the line like this. Thank goodness my 10-Miler time is well within the range and I won't have to go through this again for SS.
Wait, would the 10 miler time work for the half? I think if you were under 1:54:00 you'd be good to go.

I was thinking about what another DISer posted on the 2026 SS thread. The dropdown menu given for POT for that race said under a 1:55 10-Miler. My time is 1:54:05. Which would be fine if it follows those rules but not if it goes off the data you just shared.

Moral of the story is: I need to get faster or slow down. This being on the line is just confusing.
