Disneyland Half Marathon 2024

I may skip sit-down restaurants entirely this trip as I will be solo and won't have unlimited funds (especially doing Dopey at WDW the week before). I may book the dessert party for WoC again for one of the nights because I really enjoyed it last time I went.

Curious for anyone who frequents DL: does Disneyland do fireworks on Sunday nights? I know they only do them on weekends, but I was unsure if that included Sunday night as well. When I went in February, my entire trip was weekdays and I missed out on the fireworks. Hoping to catch them at least one night this trip and maybe I'll just do Saturday to be safe.

Our plan for reservations is:

Thursday: Napa Rose Princess Breakfast
Friday: None
Saturday: Napa Rose Chef's Counter
Sunday: None

We're being pretty flexible this trip, we have a friend that happens to be there the same weekend since she has the Monday off due to the holiday and Friday after the 5k we're probably not heading to the parks until the evening since we're visiting a friend at the Studios in Burbank. We plan to squeeze in cocktails at the new lounge at the Disneyland Hotel and/or Trader Sam's at some point. I'm counting down the days until this trip even though we go in December too!

Not planning on any ADRs. I'm traveling solo and trying my best to spend as little as possible on food. Plus from my restaurant research nothing really piqued my interest.

This is intensely annoying. I have never seen it, and was looking forward to it. Couldn't wait one more flippin' weekend when they have a major event scheduled?
Same!!! So this and fantastic will be down. Such a bummer.

Same. Thankfully there are restaurants on Harbor and Katella. I'm going to get takeout at CPK and the Cheesecake Factory a couple nights and go back to my room, especially the night before my race. Stay off my feet and relax and get some good pizza/pasta.

Yes, I was so anxious waiting for our call back! We're very excited, we did it once back in 2018 but haven't had the chance since. We figured Saturday would be good since we're not running the half, so we can sleep in on Sunday.
Yay! Waiting for that call back is so hard! We did it for Sunday because my DW is running the half, and the 10k and the 5k and Dopey... 😬

I love Napa Rose and will be traveling solo. Intrigued by the chef's counter! Is it at a certain time? I fly out Sunday but not until late.

From what I've read, no, it's just that seating is super-crazy limited. They take reservations on the 1st of the month for 2 months out. So @TarynM and I called Napa Rose at 12:00 AM Pacific Time back back on 11/1 to leave our reservation messages for the month of January. Then they would call back in order the VMs were left to confirm. They called me back on the 3rd.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info! I may give them a call just in case, since they may have a random solo spot for one of the days I'm there.

I remember watching fireworks after all 3 Star Wars Half Marathons on Sunday at Disneyland and they were all held on Martin Luther King Jr weekend.

It's a good idea to remember that Disneyland has to cancel fireworks to to wind conditions at higher elevations far more often than Disney World, so keep that in mind. If you really want to watch the fireworks, I would try for the first night in case weather interferes the other two nights. The weather in the park can be perfectly wonderful, but the higher elevations may cause the fireworks to be canceled. They will issue a heads up multiple times over the PA so you will likely know if it could happen.
