I got my flight during SWA’s California sale a week or two ago, but the lack of packages is driving me nuts! Can Disneyland just release 2024 already???

Right! I have my hotel booked, but I am curious to see pricing for DL Hotel. I may switch, but for now, I am staying off-site.

If you call and tell them you’re there for race weekend they can tell you hotel prices, at least that’s how it was a few mo back

I want a good neighbor hotel, but I want it as part of a Disney package so I get the cancellation benefits (and the delayed full payment) I’m for sure going, but my grandma might have to cancel, depending on whether my uncle can come stay with my grandpa while we’re gone.

At this point it makes sense, although I thought the WDW reveal was pretty early.

I think it’ll be SS theme reveal next week then DL/C2C medals the week after.

From what I've heard "runDisney East" and "runDisney West" are pretty independent of each other so I wouldn't count on them coordinating tings that well. Also, the Springtime Surprise themes need to be slotted in somewhere. If I were forced to bet, I would say no, but it would be a close call.

That being said, going from relative silence to the firehose of news, it feels like the person who makes the final call on these things finally got back from vacation to say "Yep, looks good. Go for it."

I registered for the DL races without considering doing a C2C challenge. Now I am thinking about doing the SS in April to do the C2C. Since I did not register to do the C2C with the DL race, can I still register for it with the SS, or did I have to do it for both of them?

There is no special registration for C2C. It remains to be seen how runDisney will designate those that are eligible, but runners don't have to do anything (at least not as of right now).

As far as we know right now, you just have to register for at least a half (or 10 miler at Springtime) on each coast in the same calendar year and you’ll automatically get C2C

I think the easiest way is for someone there to check your bib number after running the half (or 10 miler), and see if you ran in Disneyland. Or, at DLR, to see if you ran a qualifying race during MW the week before.

Or they could do the checks now, "sandam ran in MW, and is running here, put a check mark for a C2C medal"

This might also be why there's going to be a different C2C medal in Disneyland vs Walt Disney World: so they don't have to ship the leftover medals from left coast to right coast!

My guess is that they'll handle CTC at check-in for the second race, maybe add something to the bib to designate people who are eligible.

Unless they want to change a system that wasn't broken, in the past they gave a wristband to you at bib pickup for the second half of doing a C2C.

2017 C2C both regular and the pink versions (that year they let us get all possible medals instead of having to choose one):

I would actually hate this because I don't want to wear that wristband around for two days before I run the half. Lol. I like what someone above suggested about marking it on your bib at the expo so that they can check it when they're handing out the medals after the half.

If their system was at all intelligent, you’d think it could be pre-printed on the bibs, like the CrD logo and corral assignments

It also needs to be something that I can't just stencil in later. CrD and corral assignments just affect where you can put yourself before the start. Being able to add in a C2C signifier only means that someone will try and copy it.
