Omg I'm so extra excited now!

I found out last night a friend I made a few years ago online collecting Disney Store Keys is going to be running the challenge. She lives out in Florida and it will be her first time at DLR.

We're currently trying to see if we can schedule so I can play chauffeur from the airport to her hotel so she doesn't have to deal with Uber/Lyft/taxi. Depends what day she flies in and what day I drive down.

HM was down both times I ran the SW races, but IIRC they said they were extending the overlay recently right? If so it might still be up for this.

I think there's a pretty good chance they will. It's a pretty open area and there's a path through Carsland one way or another to Avengers Campus. I also hope that we finally get to run through Galaxy's Edge.

In the past, does anyone know if they allowed spectators in the parks for the shorter races? My friend isn't doing the 10K ("just" the half) and I was wondering how this worked.

For what it's worth in prior years, the in park runner viewing was only available if you purchased the chEAR squad package and I think it only applied to the Half Marathon. I have no idea how that's going to work now. In some ways, it's difficult to know how much will continue since it's been 6 years since a race at Disneyland.

Flight tickets aren’t available until next month? That seems pretty late. I have everything booked except for a rental car, which I’m still deciding on but most likely I’ll be doing it.

Unrelated but RD is teasing medal reveals for MW tomorrow, so hopefully we get pics of DL medals soon. And… maybe CTC?

I'm still expecting September. But maybe because that way I can't get too disappointed if they actually reveal it in September.

There is no special registration for C2C. It remains to be seen how runDisney will designate those that are eligible, but runners don't have to do anything (at least not as of right now).

I remember we had to check in at the Expo for the back end of the Coast to Coast and they gave us a wristband.

My guess is that they'll handle CTC at check-in for the second race, maybe add something to the bib to designate people who are eligible.

Bib would be new.

This just seems like it would create a really long line at the finish line to get the C2C medal. Logistically this sounds like a nightmare.

In years past, they had a separate area for Coast to Coast just like they do for Goofy/Dopey or challenge medals for race weekends that do not have the marathon. It was not all that different from Goofy/Dopey/challenge medal pickup. I don't recall it ever being a really long wait.

I've wondered this too. It seems like offering the same medal for virtual as you offer in person is less than ideal. I wish they either limited the virtual races or had different medals for them.

While the medals themselves are the same, the ribbons clearly say virtual on them now. I noticed at this year's marathon weekend that somebody brought her 2022 virtual medals to the MK and the ribbons say virtual.

I feel the same way, but my travel plans won't have me getting in until the afternoon so I'm going to take my chances and preorder anything I might want since I assume that most merchandise will be long gone by the time I get there. I concluded that the cost to get there maybe early enough to possibly get certain race merchandise was not worth it given that it's a whole bunch of maybes.

We aren’t getting there till Friday afternoon so I preordered the spirit Jersey and the pins. My DVC dashboard says that’s 150 days away!

It’s been so hot I’ve had a hard time running but I maintaining a bit of fitness until it’s time to buckle down! It’s so hard to get up to run at 5AM when it’s still 90 degrees. I did It today- before school even. So basically I’m an Avenger now. But some rain this weekend will offer up some days with lows in the upper 70s. Finally!!

You can now., or at least at WDW with an AP. I don't know if they will do the same for Magic Key, but I would hope they'd try to keep it similar. You have to go to a special desk at the expo to get it done. Although, if you mean DVC, I don't think they do those.

I was able to upgrade my half marathon registration to Dumbo a bit ago! My fingers were fumbling and my heart was pounding but I'm in! I'm now officially Dopey to Dumbo. God help me. Lol.

No. It was actually open when I finished registering for Dumbo and I considered it, but I can't fly in until Friday and if I try to back that up to Thursday my work may fire me. (only half kidding)
