Disneyland Half Marathon 2024

Do you think the entire day would sellout in seconds though? I assumed breakfast would be hard to get but it seems sus that not a single lunch or dinner popped up even for a few seconds. Makes me think maybe they weren’t released yet? Hopefully that’s the case. I’m going to try for it again tomorrow and if I can’t get it I’ll just do Carnation Cafe and Goofys for the character meal.

Plaza Inn is quick service for lunch and dinner, so no reservations would pop up. There's a good chance breakfast reservations didn't load right at 6 AM and they might come later. Usually they go quickly but not THAT fast. Just need to keep an eye out, as usual for a lot of the reservations.

Lamplight Lounge is completely booked up for that Sunday already.

I was lucky enough to get Brunch, so now I am holding one for Saturday and Sunday. I expect I'll keep the Sunday and get rid of the Saturday

Yes I’m in! I plan to be in DCA that day. I can access the restaurant/hotel right from the park? It’ll be fun to have a splurge meal after all the running!

Now my next big thing is waiting for when Great Maple reservations open up at Pixar Place Hotel I am staying at.... I saw a youtube video that shows the walls are down and the restaurant looks fully ready to open any day now! My son loves maple syrup so he is very excited about that restaurant. Lol. We will be replacing Goofys kitchen with Great Maple, but wanted to have something just incase. After that we will be done with reservations and just do quick service meals and snacks.

This is our line up for reservations:
Thursday: Traders Sam's 5:35 pm (just for my mom since she is flying in earlier than us), we will be coming in 7pm...
Friday: Traders Sam's 2:50 pm (everyone will be here for that one)
Saturday: Goofy Kitchens 5pm (Hopefully Change to Great Maple Kitchen)
Sunday: Storytellers Café Brunch 11:30 am
Monday: No reservations leaving

What did everyone else get?

Also a random thought do we only have one night time show the weekend we will be there?? Fireworks and that is it, right? No World of Color and Fantasmic they are still fixing.... that sucks.

Great Maple opens today with reservations opening Nov 21. Looks like reservations will be on Opentable. When I went to Great Maple’s website (not Disneyland website) and tried to make reservations it launched Opentable but said nothing available

And for anyone flying on SW, double check your flights. My flight leaving DLR got modified on me this morning.

Mine modified but I was able to switch to any other “LA area” flight or time for free. So I switched from LGB to SNA!

So I’ve been struggling to get a return flight home through SNA on Monday- prices are insane and times are not ide! However, I checked LGB when I saw your post and there are better flight options and pricing for my arrival and departure over SNA!

Before I make any changes though- should I not consider using LGB? It seems to be similarly located distance wise but last time I was out in CA we used LAX and I know I’d prefer not to fly in there. I’m not familiar with SNA or LGB. Thoughts?

LGB is a nice little airport. Not much in the way of amenities, but I liked it when I used it in 2021

LGB airport is great!! We’ve flown there many times and it’s maybe an extra 5-10 min drive compared with SNA. The LGB airport is small, remodeled, and really easy to navigate. I think there might be a total of 10 gates.

I only switched from LGB to SNA because the price was the same due to southwest modifying my flight. when the flight cost more money out of SNA I gladly flew in and out of LGB.

That's what I'm guessing.

Honestly, between no WOC desert party and possibly not being able to get Blue Bayou, I'm thinking about upgrading my hotel room as my weekend "splurge."

Not to beat the restaurant ressie topic to death, but........

I am currently holding a reservation for 2 people for brunch on Saturday 12:10 at Lamplight. If anyone wants the entire reservation, let me know. Maybe we can work some kind of transfer.

We were originally going to fly in and out of LAX. But switched our arrival into LGB a couple of months ago, and just now switch our departure home to be out of LGB as well.

Great call! I avoid LAX if at all possible. And to echo the sentiments above, LGB is a great little airport and much easier to navigate than LAX or even SNA. You'll easily make up the extra drive time with the ease of access, check-in and security. And if you do have to spend some time there, it's beautiful with lots of open air seating if the weather is nice.

I didn't know that about lunch/dinner. Interesting! I managed to snag a breakfast reservation for Plaza Inn on Monday! I'd rather do it Sunday as a celebration meal but I'm just happy I got one. Now I need to try to get Blue Bayou.
