Disneyland Half Marathon 2008

OK I am confused....which 2008 DL 1/2 thread should I be posting on???

Right now I'm doing the 2008 Disneyland 1/2 who's going? thread (or something like that).

Most Disney races have a cut pace of 16 min/mile. They have certain points on the course if you are not at that pace(plus time for last runner to cross start line), they will pull you from the course and you will not get a medal.

oh duh, yeah, I knew that about the shuttles that pick you up... I watch my garmin like a hawk when I'm walking to make sure I don't go over a 16 min pace...lol

Mooshu was just at Disneyland Sunday and Monday (5/18-5/19/08).

She said the weather was hovering about 100 degrees. So for those who ran the half marathon last year, prepare yourself for the same stifiling heat.

Oh, I've been thinking about that. It's been in the 100's here already so, I guess I will be used to it by the time the Disney 1/2 approaches.

Hey guys, my friend originally signed up for the family fun run, but since then is confident enough to do the half with me. I've tried the email form for Disney's world of sports, but haven't gotten a reply. Essentially, she wants to put the cost of the fun run towards the half cost since she can't afford to pay for both and only run one. Is this possible or does anyone have a phone number for Disney sports?

I did the half in WDW last January and had a blast. I hope this is just as fun.

I was able to change from the 5K & Marathon to the Goofy(1/2 & Full) because the 1/2 wasn't full. If race is closed, they won't do it but if both are open, you should have no problem

Congratulations JEFF! By finishing the 2008 Walt Disney World® Marathon or Half Marathon and signing up to run the 2008 Disneyland® Half Marathon, you are confirmed to be eligible for Disney's Coast to Coast Race Challenge. Following is important information on how to obtain your special medal upon successfully completing the 2008 Disneyland® Half Marathon.
When picking up your race number and packet at the Disneyland® Health & Fitness Expo, you will receive a wristband that you must wear until you finish the Disneyland® Half Marathon. After you cross the finish line you will receive your half marathon finisher medal and then you will exchange your wristband for your special Disney’s Coast to Coast Race Challenge medal. Volunteers will be on hand to help direct you.​
